Speaker binding posts with plastic covers
BTW, if the top won't unscrew, maybe it's completely unscrewed! Try going clockwise and see if the top turns.

Rotel RA-1572 sub out?
@panaseef AFAIK, the two sub-outputs output a mono (sum of left and right) full-range signals without filtering, you’ll need to use an external low-pass filter or the built-in filter that comes with the active subwoofer.
Tracking down a hum.
Hum is present in both channels and pulses. Failing rectifier maybe? Sounds like low frequency oscillations associated with humming! There could be many things causing this problem, faulty rectifier, diode, regulator IC, capacitor or bad solder...
Volume Problem Trouble Shooting Ideas?
@glennewdick 👍👍 I mistakenly thought the OP was running the same setup using the same speakers and had no issues until now.😆 Before hooking the Amp and Preamp up in this current listening area, they worked perfectly and did not have this issue.

There also a relay RL3, looks like it's a 12V DPDT relay with a coil resistance about 900Ω.
Krell KSA-i400 Stereo Power Amplifier
You chose to open this post titled "KRELL KSA i400 Stereo Power Amplifier" and posted it on the Amp-preamps forum. It seems that you have made up your mind!🙂
Am I reaching the max power / amplitude of my Rotel RB-951 power amp?
Is the input level pot adjusted to maximum? There are also internal jumper settings for input sensitivity. RB-951-OM.pdf
Tracking down a hum.
This time the noise doesn't dissipate. The noise pulses. get louder then softer louder then softer. I have no idea what the cause is now. I'm thinking a faulty rectifier. Noise presented on both channel? For a tube preamp, the power supply see...
Volume Problem Trouble Shooting Ideas?
IMO, the speaker cables are unlikely to be the culprit. In order to diagnose the problem, my suggestion is to bypass the preamp and use a BlueSound Node to connect directly to the power amplifier. Use the BlueSound Node to control the volume. If ...

Quick Luxman R-117 question
they are likely in series with a jumper so you are probably going to see the same issue. The R117 uses 4 SPST 16A rated 24V relays, 2 for speaker A and 2 for speaker B. I think the Omron GR2-1A-E-24V could be used as a replacement.
Quick Luxman R-117 question
Quick answer: Speaker A & Speaker B outputs are identical as far as specs/load are concerned.😊
