Volume Problem Trouble Shooting Ideas? IMO, the speaker cables are unlikely to be the culprit. In order to diagnose the problem, my suggestion is to bypass the preamp and use a BlueSound Node to connect directly to the power amplifier. Use the BlueSound Node to control the volume. If ...

Quick Luxman R-117 question they are likely in series with a jumper so you are probably going to see the same issue. The R117 uses 4 SPST 16A rated 24V relays, 2 for speaker A and 2 for speaker B. I think the Omron GR2-1A-E-24V could be used as a replacement.
Quick Luxman R-117 question Quick answer: Speaker A & Speaker B outputs are identical as far as specs/load are concerned.😊

Can a tube amp be damaged by a speaker switch? The Octave Audio amplifier is not a traditional tube amplifier design, it uses protection circuitry to protect its output from low impedance or short circuits, eliminates multi-tap speaker terminals, and behaves more like a solid state amplifier t...
XLR Turntable MC cartridge and almost all MM and MI cartridge except those wired its negative to ground are balanced device. If you’re looking for a turntable with cartridge and XLR connection for under a grand, just shop for a turntable and cartridge that is w...
Can a tube amp be damaged by a speaker switch? I actually have a Leben and during the course of modding it, one night I accidentally left the dummy load off and ran pink noise. Next morning..I freaked out...yet, no problem with it at all. Many commercial tube amp can survive without load co...
Can a tube amp be damaged by a speaker switch? This is amplifier dependent. Almost all solid state amplifiers are stable into no load, but not all tube amps were. Check with the vendor. Yes! Almost all solid state amplifiers are stable at no load, except those without a Zobel network at t...
Can a tube amp be damaged by a speaker switch? What is the potential damage? If the load accidentally disconnected from the tube amp while playing, The inductance of the output transformer will produce a large fly-back voltage, this is lethal for components in the amp, it can damage the out...
Amplifier Specification questions Interesting it does less class A into 4 ohms. The amplifier bias current determine the output power of class A operation. For example, an amplifier can provide up to 8 Watts of class A power @ 8 ohms load before it switch to class B operation...
