Electrical/mechanical representation of instruments and space
Microphones suffer from the same problems as loudspeakers:Non-linear response, resonances, temperature sensitivity, aging, power handling, etc.The microphone attempts to create an electrical analog of pressure changes on the diaphragm just as the ...

I would guess that a CDT can make multiple reads to try to read error free data. It may change speed in which case, any additional rotational mass would probably be a negative.
Electrical/mechanical representation of instruments and space
If one were take someone from the hinterlands who’d never heard anything but natural sounds and played them the finest HiFi in the world, they would have no idea what so ever that the sound was anything but some chromy illuminated beast. If they th...
Electrical interference questions for speaker cable and adjacent subwoofer power cord
Shielded power cords will have next to zero positive benefit and may be a negative.Run the cables in a manner so as to cross them @ 90°.

The SID has equally bogus claims. If light is reflected from the label, it can't be neutralized by the SID. Additionally, shining a red laser at green surface does not result in no reflections.I know a little about light. I was Senior Software Eng...

Warm up time for amps
Back in the 7/80's, I had an amp that came under-biased from the factory. If you have the tools and the skill, worth checking if you have overly long warm up... which the amp did.
Warm up time for amps
Yes.The only internal connections that remain are tube sockets.Several studios' multi- & 2T track analog recorders had every connection from the console to the card edge connector removed. Multi-tracks had a  pair of audio channels with all au...

Warm up time for amps
Some products have dozens of internal connections for transformers, B+ rails, driver to power transition, etc.Every connection, unless soldered or compression fused, acts as a variable resistor. As these connections change temperature, they change ...
Warm up time for amps
I never listen to my amp. Just my system. Speakers warm up from the power going through them. This changes the XO frequency and driver response.See http://ielogical.com/Audio/WinterBlues.php#TheFlyIt's never just the amp!!
