Cat-proofing your speakers... My post was in reference to Maril555's post.
Cat-proofing your speakers... So much for buying used speakers now. At least I ate breakfast before reading the last post.
Cat-proofing your speakers... Get a short tempered parrot. A friend has one that the cat agitates, while it's in the cage. When the bird is out, it's payback. The parrot chases the cat out of the room, under the bed, then the cat wants outside. So a watch bird might work.
Amp more important than speakers? Speakers first. Those Onkyo integrateds are just a budget low powered digital amp. There are a lot of other amps in their price range that will give better low power watts than that Onkyo, to get by with until you get a good amp for them.
Bryston 4B-ST Noslepums, just curious if you measured actual impedance, or resistance. If just resistance, you can have dips below that. Also you might get away with using non-inductive resistors in series with drivers, if they have enough power handling for yo...

can i improve my system with a better cd player? Some also have a coaxial digital output that looks like a regular RCA line level cables(just one for stereo).Let me clarify. I mean one coax is used for multichannel/stereo, just like the one Toslink. If I made other errors, I hope they're found ...

best rca cable for deep controlled bass Defining clipping as 1% THD, the A-9555 comfortably exceeded its rated power, clipping at 110Wpc into 8 ohms (20.4dBW), 175Wpc into 4 ohms (19.4dBW), and, with one channel driven rather than two, 245W into 2 ohms (17.9dBW) (footnote 1). There is a...
best rca cable for deep controlled bass Sure, a lot of equipment could put out more that it's designed for, but this is short term only. Audiophiles want their amps to give the real power(true watts RMS), both channels driven,20 to 20,000 hz, on a continuous basis. Now that these compan...
best rca cable for deep controlled bass It puts out a solid 100 wpc into 8 ohms and 175 into 4 ohms, both channels driven. It's able to deliver a lot of current when called for, and the amp sounds bigger than its power rating would suggest. The amp in question is the Onkyo A-9555 hybrid ...
comcast upgrade I have a different cable company that does these upgrades. Then a lot of new bugs until they learn about it. When that happens, it's time for more upgrades. They are good at billing us for them though. And yesterday, I saw their trucks all over do...
can i improve my system with a better cd player? I couldn't tell you about that comparison. But, why not try the better of what you have, hook them up with both connections, and A/B each ones internal DAC against the YamahaDAC and see if any of them fit your needs. If one sounds a lot better, th...
can i improve my system with a better cd player? 06-23-11: MontereyIs this correct to assume. If i connect the cd player to my yamaha via RCA's, I am using the CD player to decode. If I connect the cd player via a toslink to the yamaha, I'm letting the yamaha decode??Monterey (Threads | Answers ... |
