Spendor Classic 3/1 vs Graham Chartwell LS6 ?
Another speaker you might consider if your space and dealer availability allows, is the Stirling Broadcast SB-88. It's larger than the other speakers you're considering but that will result in more life-like scale. It uses the same midwoofer drive...
Considering replacing my Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum with separates.
Interesting point of view. My concern has always been that you cannot match the performance of a really good integrated without equally good interconnects, power cords, cones, rack, fuse, etc. and by the time all this is done you have spent way mo...

I would call Clayton for recommendations.
Spendor Classic 3/1 vs Graham Chartwell LS6 ?
Haven't heard either of these specific models and I doubt anyone here has experience with both. That said, I have heard other models from both brands and all have been excellent. If EDM is one of your primary genres and you don't have a large room...
best low priced bookshelf speakers
The guy who created the following thread is an Audio Note dealer and has experience with many high end systems:https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/i-am-amazed-by-nht-sb-1-speakers-what-about-sb-3-or-superone-even-better.903015/
Wide baffle speakers are better than narrow
HELOMECH has hearing issues and should just buy a Kenwood stack from the 1990's. VANDERSTEENS take weeks maybe months to break in. Setting them up and doing critical listening after a couple hrs break in is nonsense. You didnt even get a chance t...
Wide baffle speakers are better than narrow
Richard Vandersteen sure would disagree. I’ve shared this anecdote elsewhere but it’s certainly appropriate here. Not long ago I ordered a pair of new Vandy 2CE Sig IIs based on a positive experience with the 1Cis. Prior to their arrival, I was lis...
Speaker suggestion between $1000 and $2000 please........
Based on your liking the Beyer DTs, I suggest you start with Revel Performa3 or maybe Paradigm Prestige. Also consider Elac Adante AS-61
Wide baffle speakers are better than narrow
Wide-baffle speakers are capable of excellent imaging if competently designed, better than narrow towers in many cases.
need advice on speakers
Wharfedale Denton 80ths or Diamond 225s.PSB Alpha P5JBL Studio 530-All well regarded speakers. I bet the Alpha P5s are the most balanced. Thw JBLs are probably most dynamic and low-volume friendly.
Newbie Question
I wouldn't bother with vintage amps. Yes, some were built to very high standards, some were not. Problem is it can be difficult to determine just what you're really getting when buying a vintage unit. Sellers can make all sorts of false claims abo...
Life After Your Magnepan’s
Having lived with the .7s for a few months now, I've concluded they're long-term keepers for me, especially considering I'm not stuck with them as my sole pair. Absolutely love the .7s. If you think Maggies can't do slam, you need to hear this mod...
Holy Brightness Batman!
@helomech "Many speakers are voiced to impress during a quick audition, often with a "smiley" EQ.I'm convinced there are also brands/models for which the target market is older audiophiles who may need speakers with boosted highs in order to hear ...
Holy Brightness Batman!
Speaker designs marketed for older audiophiles ? Really ? Ridiculous. Apparently you know little about marketing strategies. Today's marketing managers are adept at targeting specific customer types. My post was referring to speakers like Golden E...
