Newbie question. ok then just plug the DAC/iphone into your Arc Pre and be done with it. Why go through the Sony if you have the Arc Pre go through the Arc as with the other inputs. Just note you will not get all the advantages of the Flac files but it will, even ...
Marantz SR6006 - Marantz title banner is stuck try unplugging it from the wall to reboot the computer in your TV turning it off with the remote doesn't actually turn it off.
Preamps better than Parasound JC-2 ? +Atmaspere . Try a Tube Pre. Tubes in Pre-amps last years if not decades, also most pre-amp tubes are relatively inexpensive (compared to power tubes) so tube rolling is not an expense you need to worry about too much in a Pre-Amp. Tube Pre to S...

Looking to purchase a new Reciever and I need some help! another thing to consider if you need a HT pass through is most older recievers will have a tape loop that can be used as a HT Pass through.
Looking to purchase a new Reciever and I need some help! Marantz made some great stuff I'm not the one to ask on particular models but I think your going the right direction. try in vintage audio you may get more replys there.
Looking to purchase a new Reciever and I need some help! another option is a restored vintage piece. Sansui, Marantz, Luxman, Acuphase to name a few good vintage brands. do some research you may find this is a good way to get a bigger bang for your buck.
Next step: preamp or phono preamp if your looking at both why not get a good preamp with a good phono stage built in. many out there. I'd go tube pre if it was me but we all have different sound tastes.
Matching Speakers to amp you have more then enough power for either speaker. both are relatively efficient 90db, 91.5db. both seem to have similar specs but both dip to 3ohm load or slightly below but you have more then enough power for this load. so go for it see what so...

Fun Analog Upgrade Challenge nice, but I agree there are to many things to upgrade I'd rather spread it across a new table/ arm and phono stage. but I would probably if limited to your criteria upgrade the table and buy one with a good arm already packaged. then later upgrade...
