Two different amps to same speakers for two different applications?
get a descent switching unit, not expensive and will isolate one amp when using the other. Bottle Head, parts express etc have them
Creek or Classe Integrated amp
Classe.  much better build quality and sound imo. Creek has always imo been a mid-fi component. Or the first rung on the audiophile ladder.

maple has some good quality’s depends on what your trying to get out of your system. I found maple a little too soft for my tastes I prefer higher mass like granite I find it more detailed then maple. either way, yeah works well. oh bamboo is very...
Audio rack
+Williewonka  that's also what I use, for a cost to performance base its hard to beat.
Sell your components boys and girls, the console is back!
Jab, there are jigs for these things its not new tech by any means. and you can not in any way justify $15000 for that wood work, its not that hard to do, any competent craftsman can do it.
Audio rack
3 legs,  floating shelves, mass.
Is It Possible?
I also was shocked at how good they sound. a good friend has an array of 6 with 3 stacked on top of one another in a custom rack. 3 per side gives a huge room filling experience and with 6 panels they have great bass too. mind you the need for 6 a...
Sell your components boys and girls, the console is back!
That Symbol console is a total scam imo. I was looking at it a few days ago. there is about $3-4 retail worth of audio gear in it but they are charging $20000 for the thing. A custom cabinet builder friend of mine said its highway robbery to charg...

Studer vs Otari
Interesting thread, I was looking to get into R2R's last year. I read quite a bit and the one place that seemed to have good modern info was the Tape Project. from what I have read the Studers are fantastic rigs but they also say the Otari is no s...
Is a jelco sa750e low mass or high mass ?
I have run a 103 on my 750L with good results, well as good as the 103 can do anyway.
Phonostage opamp replacement 22v
I would highly recommend you look at Burson Audio's Discrete op amp replacements. they are larger then an op-amp so you may have to look at space but they do offer some extenders to allow more flexible installation. I use a set in my MSB DAC and t...
Help me upgrade my speakers?
have you considered adding subwoofers to the mix. you have a nice set up now by adding a sub or 2 you will get the bottom end you wanted and the ability to adjust then to your room more easily.

I've had both the Manley Chinook and Steel Head in my system and they are both wonderful. I will be adding a Chinook to my system in the near future, wish I could afford the Steal Head.
What the heck is up with the audiogon listing photos?
this sight has slowly gone from a gear lovers sight to a dealers resale sight similar to Auto-trader. remember when it was free to post an add and they only charged for upgraded listings then they started charging for every add, that’s when the de...
