Equi=Core 1000
I own the AQ Niagra 1200, too. I have no issues with it. I also owned the Equi+Core 1800- a very early version. It worked well with my equipment. To be honest, I did not detect a significant difference- but, I try not to get too anal about these...
All in 5-6k for setup in living room...with bad acoustics
I’m sensitive to compression drivers and the "harsh" highs Well, the Magnepan LRS comes to mind. But, if you are listening loudly, then the Maggies probably aren’t your cuppa.   You mentioned a large room, how large? With kitchen? Normally, ...
Belles Aria Signature and other Int Amp recommendation
@audioman58 , Welcome to the Belles lover group. John Rutan has a Belles Aria Integrated and Vandersteen VLR's, and a Vandy Sub 3 in the front room. All I can say is that it is one smoking system for the money. B
Disservice: XLR interconnects
As always, Ralph-@atmasphere, gives the best advice. FWIW, I bought a 25 foot run of his Mogami cable when I got his amps and preamp. My dealer suggested moving to AQ, so I did, (as I respect his opinion). Long story short, I noticed very littl...
what kind of power conditioner for front end?
Firstly, I am an AQ fan, and use a Niagra 1200 for my front end components. I have never heard a sound from the unit. My friend with a larger Niagra has never mentioned hearing anything, either. Second, I only use conditioners on the lower power...
Why aren’t there many used cables on the market?
+1 for Hifishark. Just input your filters and see what is available. The best part is you can look at previous sales, in order to get an idea of what the cables are going for. B
Computer updated and now Roon is blocked
I would also try using a program called CCleaner, to wipe out any previous programs.  If Windows upgraded, then there should be a restore point that you could revert the PC back to a point where Roon worked. FWIW, I haven't had any issue with MS...
Dual Subwoofers?
As others have posted their recommendations, I feel I should post mine. Though a bit pricier to gain entry, the Vandersteen subs are quite unique in that the employ a high pass filter (adjustable to amp impedance). The result being that you have ...
Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing
One of the reasons I have bought Atmasphere's products is that Ralph can clearly and simply describe why his equipment works as good as it does.- As well as how we perceive sound. Bob
Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing
Well, I just put in my order for a pair of Atmasphere Monoblocks. I was not considering Class D amps, but when Ralph embarked on this new path, I have been very interested in giving them a try. And, as many know, I am a Vandersteen guy, so ownin...
Audiogon infested with pop-up ads
Duck Go Go and Google Chrome is another choice. I also use AdBlock Pro, but it seems to make Audiogon go nuts with checking to see if the browser is 'safe'.   I say, too bad, if you want to make it unusable for me, I have a bunch of other forums...
Dual Subwoofers?
2 subs are great. I bet you'll hear from the DEBRA (distributed Bass Array) users, too. Though, I would opt to using the amp outputs instead of the preamp. Bob
Recommendations for HiFi Listening Room
+2 for Vandersteen Quatro's. +1 for Magnepan Don't forget Sound Lab, if you like planar speakers.   I would like to add my 2 cents/piece of advice- When I started out in the 80's, there were lots of dealers in the NY area and I could listen t...
anyone know how to get Townshend Audio replacement parts?
+1 @ozzy. Sue is one of the best. Townshend, stands behind their products. Though they may be small manufacturers, it is always comforting that they provide great service. Bob

@jabbaman ,  Would you care to elucidate what your system is comprised of? B
