can any stereo receiver be turned to mono?
Older vintage receivers had stereo/mono switches, this one does not. A stereo/mono switch does exactly the same thing as the Y-connectors others suggested. Still the amps cannot be bridged in that receiver.
can any stereo receiver be turned to mono?
Simple answer is NO. That receivers amplifiers cannot be bridged for mono use. Do not follow MC's advice. What others are saying will yield 2 mono channels from either 2 different speakers or 1 speaker if that's all you connect.
Sansui SP-2500 - Keep Original, or Modify?
Buy something else, they were decent back in the day. Too many drivers over the same frequency range = unclear/fractured sound. If you want  3-way, go with 3 drivers.
Active Speaker Choice
Maybe you're right about accessories, but think most buyers simply don't know about active speaker benefits. Actives are the best in my opinion too. Most speakers with passive crossovers don't sound very good, I bypassed mine 40 years ago! $14k fo...
Any Schiit Bitfrost 2 owners here?
It is OK, but I'm going to replace it soon. I will buy an R2R ladder DAC, don't know what brand yet.
Cut lower frequency to help my bookshelf speakers
You can use an analog crossover or DSP to reduce the low frequencies to your Dynaudio speakers. High pass filter set to 80Hz. or higher. I personally like analog with a steep 24 dB/octave slope, but digital high pass is much cheaper. You won't be ...

Has Anyone Ever Run TWO Identical Pairs of Speakers ?
I've played with multiple drivers a lot over the years and found single drivers for each frequency range, sound the clearest. Get them as close together as possible, in vertical alignment. As mijostyn pointed out, multiple tweeters smear and fract...
At This Time Can We Recreate Full Range Live Music In The Home?
Come on SOME of you. We all know accurate reproduction of a symphony orchestra at home is not possible. End of story.
heat
Even if you don't listen loud, the pre-driver and driver transistors are biased high enough to produce significant heat. This heat will continue to build over time during your listening period without sufficient ventilation. The heat sink design f...

Is anyone able to compare headphone surround sound to home theatre surround sound?
I'm not sure I would want to emulate surround sound in a headphone. It was so long ago that I listened to a quad headphone, what was your impression?

All electronics fail first due to mechanical fatigue. This can be caused by several things, vibration, hot and cold thermal cycling and intermetallic formation.

Don't cover when in use. +3 for air purifier, I don't run it while listening. I just installed one for the entire house.
