Looking for a good solution to cover my TV between the speakers. Cant move it
You know, another approach is to put absorbent panels to the sides of the TV, as well as making sure the floor between and behind the speakers have absorption. Acoustics aren't all linear. A lot of it is more about the duration of sounds, so if yo...

Put a curtain rod above and in front. :)
Hidden Gems in Pre-Owned Solid State Power Amplifiers?
You need to not only look at their number, but the prices. The deep discounts will tell you more about how frequently buyers tend to want to move them than how many were sold. I like Parasound, in general, as a solid, neutral to warm piece of gear...
Nikko Alpha II Capacitor question
You should find that 2 of them are shorted on the PCB, so just use either. New caps are going to be a lot smaller so won't need the same physical mounting. Also, check the temp rating of your replacements. Make sure you get same or higher temp rat...
Room Correction - Roon + REW (Room EQ Wizard)
I have not, but all of my experience shows that room acoustics + EQ are better than EQ alone. :) Good luck!
Eh hem!...Subwoofers... What do ya know?
This may sound like a dumb question but since the sub has three drivers firing in different directions does this create the effect of multiple subs ? It does give you more bass than a single 8" driver would otherwise, but it’s not like having sep...
B&W ASW610 subwoofer burned out twice now
OP - Don't get me wrong. That condition I mentioned is STILL very much a bad, or incomplete design, and it's just supposition. It could be anything. But yes, you can replace the amp with a nice Class D with a DSP front end, giving you expanded cap...
Anybody used Nikko amps before?
For the gear available in the 1980s, it was far better than most mass produced Japanese equipment. I believe they were sold under the Radio Shack brand too for a while. Really liked their integrateds a lot.
Help please, I think I have RF or EMI problem
Make sure the ground still goes back to the service entrance.  That's a legal / safety requirement. You might want to try moving the breaker by 1. If your switches, and light filter are on the same leg switching this can help isolate you. I don't ...
Ohm F-5015 used purchase
I'd buy it, and part out all the electronics, get a modern integrated.
Eh hem!...Subwoofers... What do ya know?
it puzzles me why individuals buy speakers with poor bass response Let’s convert the word "poor" and say "deep." The smaller the speaker, the less likely you are to run into room mode problems, not to mention matching the decor (yes, this is impo...
B&W ASW610 subwoofer burned out twice now
There is a weird condition that happens in switching power supplies, not the amps. The issue has to do with very short term power interruptions, in the neighborhood of 1-2 cycles of AC power, though by now I would not expect this issue to remain i...
to fb or not to fb... that is the ?
Never and under no circumstances would I use FB.
B&W ASW610 subwoofer burned out twice now
So every powered sub I know of uses Class D amps and they tend to be more reliable than this. Wait, the failure occurred at the same time you removed the plug from the wall?
The midi range, not the tweeter, is the most important driver in a speaker.
So to be clear, If we're talking about a 2-way, the mid-woofer in my opinion, is more important than the tweeter. My point is still the same: We focus way too much on the type of tweeters we use, and not on the driver that outputs most of the mids.
