Seating height and bass
It's hard to tell if you are actually hearing a bass issue, of if you are just discovering that your speaker's output is uneven. Try tilting the speaker back. :) Best, E
Watts and power
I really don't like the class stereotypes. I know a lot of Class D that have got tons more balls than some class A amps. I currently listen to Luxman. They have more bass spunk than both a Parasound and Class D amps I've listened to.  So, in this ...
The Raspberry Pi 4 ... what's new?
Just confirmed: This Pi 4 setup (fanless!!) with Ubuntu and LMS fully supports direct DSD to my Mytek Brooklyn!! https://inatinear.blogspot.com/2019/12/ubuntu-and-logitech-media-server-on.html
Want a streaming device without DAC in $1K range
I just put together this page on installing Logitech Media Server on the latest Pi 4. https://inatinear.blogspot.com/2019/12/ubuntu-and-logitech-media-server-on.html

Gah, can't type! https://www.daphile.com/https://www.picoreplayer.org/https://volumio.org/
Eh hem!...Subwoofers... What do ya know?
Also ... If your speaker is solidly above 6 Ohms across the bass, you can disregard my caution. :)
Eh hem!...Subwoofers... What do ya know?
Hi @dpac996 So, if I understand correctly, you want to take an amplifier’s output as the input to the subwoofer, correct? And that this output would be shared beteen your main speaker and the subwoofer's input? If not, disregard all of this. :) No...

You can build your own out of a Raspberry Pi and Volumio or Daphilebor PiCoreAlso Raspberry 4 runs Ubunto really well.
What speakers use SEAS or SEAS-sourced drivers?
I believe but cannot prove, that some Magico drivers use seas motors with proprietary cones.
Eh hem!...Subwoofers... What do ya know?
Speaker level inputs are subject to the amp/speaker impedance matching. Since I've heard a number of examples where a dropping impedance in the 100Hz region causes dimished impact, this would not be my first choice.
Equipment Shootout with Wharfedale Evo 4.1, 4.2, Monitor Audio, and HSU plus amps
Oh, gods. Focals..... they use Solens. Mundorf MKP are sweet sweet upgrades for them.
"a stylish and affordable launch into the world of high-performance audio"
The average markup is 10x to drivers. It is much higher if drivers are made in house (Focal, B&W, Monitor Audio), and depending on the brand (thinking of Gamut and Wilson). I think the $370 is per speaker. So, at most, the driver cost is $37 /...
Are "streamers" the new "transports"?
This kind of brings up something else. DAC's are not equally indifferent to the quality of the input signal.Unfortunately, audiophiles are often lured by "discerning" DAC's (and speakers). That is, they buy the DAC that lets them hear a difference...
Are "streamers" the new "transports"?
Yes, I have no idea why and cost is not really the issue. I just went from a Raspberry Pi 3 to 4, and from a tinyCore Linux to Ubuntu, running the same software packages which are Squeezelite and LMS 7.9. The Pi 4 sounds much more open and transpa...
