Speakers that sound great in terrible rooms Here is a line array from ex-McIntosh speaker designer Roger Rusell I've wanted to hear. I have to say I've heard current XRT speakers and really did not like them, but this is a much more simple implementation. http://roger-russell.com/columns/co...
Speakers that sound great in terrible rooms I have to admit I've had a fascination with line sources all of my life. That and large ESL panels, and yet, I have ended up rather conventional.
Speakers that sound great in terrible rooms @istvan1976You are right, I've measured some of the same issues, and I wouldn't move without my speakers AND my acoustic supplies. :) This audiophile's view was that speakers should be made for untreated living rooms or they should not be purchase...
Speakers that sound great in terrible rooms @alymereI am very sad to say I never met the man in person. As I noted elsewhere, his work has been with me in some form or another for a very long time. More recently I liked going to his website, trying to understand his views of a Duelund cross...

Roon's update sounds really good Why would you use wifi for streaming over wired? Convenience, I don't have a great way to get the bits to the place over wired. Sorry I have disappointed you.
Roon's update sounds really good three_easy_paymentsOh, yeah yeah, I bought this new audiophile Wifi antenna, with a golden ratio double helix photonic quadratic grand unified theory of basilisk oil. So long as I keep the basilisk oil topped off it sounds great! :) Honestly I'm ...
Active Not powered stand mount loudspeaker recommendations What is an active not powered speaker??
Speakers that sound great in terrible rooms and this goes back to something else I've noticed. I simply cannot ignore a room. I can ignore the air conditioner more easily. Those audiophiles who can hear the nuance of equipment in a bad room, you are amazing, because I can barely listen.
Small Office - Wilson vs B&W vs Kef The B&W speakers all sound like B&W speakers, in my mind, so you have to want that particular sound. You can’t really exchange them. Make yourself happy.I am not sure about the Tune tots but may I suggest bespoke speakers from Fritz? The b...
Roon's update sounds really good Also changing my buffer size to a full half second.
Roon's update sounds really good Oh, wait, my bad, I know what happened. I changed the router channel to use a less congested one.
Roon's update sounds really good I just hit the update button last night... but it seems like I am running 1.7 / 528 on the bridge |
