Wilson Sophia 3
I belive the finish issue was an on off, and was traced down by Wilson to the bad batch of glue. It affected various models, including the Maxx II. AFAIK all customers who reported this problem got brand new enclosures or even speakers, some even ...
Wilson's new speaker the Sasha is coming.
For the last week or so I have been driving my W/P Sasha with a lil Krell S300i integrated. The amp sounds GREAT with those speakers, absoulutely no problem with driving them to high SPL.I just though I would share this piece of info in this threa...
Wadia vs AMR Multibit CD-players
I just bought an used Reimyo CDP-777 out of curiosity. I will let you know in a couple of days.BTW - IMO there is more to the CDP/DAC design than the chipsets beeing used. Resolution Audio Opus 21 and Wadia 302 both use a pair of 1704 chipsets, an...
Wadia vs AMR Multibit CD-players
There are many designs using multibit DACs. All BB1704 based ones for example. Naim CD555Moon Andromeda RSReimyo 777 CDP and DAC
Anyone solved MF Tri Vista SACD problems?
Krell used the same Philips transport in the SACD Standard. Did they stockpile transports in case of failure? Did they know it was a crap transport when they built/designed it? Did they test it properly? Why no shame on Krell? No shame on Krell, si...
Sophia 2/Magico V2 versus Sasha/Magico V3
Not at all. Sasha crossover is user adjustable. IMO it is just another great feature if this design. You may try different resistors, and then revert back to stock if you like. It is like changing fuses.See the images I posted in this thread:Link
Sophia 2/Magico V2 versus Sasha/Magico V3
That is interesting. My room is smaller - 14 x 19 - and I have absolutely no bass issues with Sasha. My room is fully treated though. You have to give the HF driver at least 300-400h to properly burn in. If you still find that there is still too m...
Primare I30 vs Krell KAV 400xi
I can see why some ppl may prefer Primare sound over the Krell sound. That is a personal thing. What I cannot understand though, is how anyone can claim Primare is better build. I mean, I actually own both - Krell in my office system and Primare i...
Wilson Sophia 3
James63 - I did not have a chance to listen to the Sophia 3. However, based on my experience with Sophia 2 and Sasha, i can tell you that the biggest difference for me is in the HF department. Sasha tweeter is noticably different to Sophia 2 tweet...
Wilson Sophia 3
Just came back from Munich Show. The new Sophias III are a big step up from the Sophia II in terms of looks - they look much more modern now.Peter did not have the exact specs on hand, but promissed the new Sophias III to be much easier to drive t...
Wilson Sophia 3
When is the Sasha 2 comming out? The Sophia 4?Avg. lifespan for Wilson products is about 4 years - Sophia 2 was introduced back in 2006 (Sophia 1 in 2001), so you can prolly expext next update in 2014-5.I sense a good dose of irony in your post, b...
Wilson Sophia 3
Sophia’s U.S. MSRP will be $16,700.00 – the same price as the outgoing model
Wilson Sophia 3
The midrange unit also seems to be very similar to the one used on Maxx 3 and W/P Sasha. If you add to that a more beningn impedance curve (my guess is that the minimum will be around 3.5-4 Ohms), the new Sophia 3 for many, may be a prefered speak...
Ayon CD2 is AMAZING
they're launching it at the Munich show, not sure when that is.In May.
Anybody heard LA SOURCE of Audio Aero?
I have seen it during Munich show last May. Esoteric transport looks like a wise move, but the price difference between the Capitole/Prestige models and this seems to be excessive. When I first seen the inside the player, I thought that it may sel...
