Ditching Roon going back to BluOS for Bluesound Node 2i
@ozzy62 I have been eyeing the PS Audio Directstream DAC with bridge II for streaming as well.  I could probably save money with the Lumin Mini.
Ditching Roon going back to BluOS for Bluesound Node 2i
@ozzy62 Greattt.. Looks like I'll be wasting another whole day at work trying to justify buying a Lumin now.  Then not buying because of all the "bits are bits" posts that make me feel stupid for paying that much for just a streamer. But many seem ...
Ditching Roon going back to BluOS for Bluesound Node 2i
@dougsat  Yes BluOS will work with NAS but my understanding is that Roon is far better at working with a NAS integrating it in with streaming services.

@erik_squires how and where do you see this?   Are you talking about on the phone app?

How can the app "sound" better?  Never heard of iPeng.
Any “value” competitor streamers vs Bluesound Node 2i?
@ cytocycle I have to disagree. I think BluOS is superior to Roon unless using a NAS.  If not using a NAS, I cannot see much reason to NOT use BluOS.
Trade all my Amazon Alexa Echos for Sonos for whole home audio?
My ATT has been rock solid, of course I'm in a metro part of Dallas where AT&T is headquartered..  But I pull anywhere from 300-700mbs through wifi... Depending.. Wired I can get 800ish.So I'd say that's a success as I never expected to see 1GB.
Trade all my Amazon Alexa Echos for Sonos for whole home audio?
Ok, I wasn't sure what my ISP could actually do. I have At&T 1GB service so it's very fast.  But perhaps that's a good next stepAlso, 15 echos is a lot but it's well within the capability of the Eero wifi mesh.  Also, I have many other devices...
Ditching Roon going back to BluOS for Bluesound Node 2i
Again thanks for all the feedback. This solidifies my thoughts that BluOS is better for me since I don't use a NAS and mainly stream from Tidal. I do love the BluOS software but thinking about giving the Volumio Primo streamer a try with their sof...
Ditching Roon going back to BluOS for Bluesound Node 2i
Thanks for the info.. I'm not seeing anything I missed and without a NAS, I don't see the benefit for me. This is what I expected.  Also, I don't really need the DSP if I use my Anthem integrated amp because it has ARC.But yes, @erik_squires when ...
What are you using to drive your Tektons?
I drive my DI SE's with two different systems.  I go back and forth between PS Audio m700 mono blocks (with PS Audio Direct Gain Cell DAC/preamp) and the Anthem STR Integrated amp.I do hear some hiss/noise though if you put your ear next to the tw...

Any report?
Power Cable from wall to my conditioner?
@Kingbarbuda What's the point in putting a high end power cable into a PS Audio regenerator?  Isn't that the purpose of the regenerator, to take bad power and make it pure? Why spend thousands on a PS Audio power regenerator if it doesn't fix the c...
Best way to A / B test amps? Use a switch?
Very good points.  Some of which I have considered but not enough.  I still think the audiophile thinks his aural memory is much keener than it is and not susceptible to audio forum interference/influence.  But, you're right saying that the "over ...
Best way to A / B test amps? Use a switch?
Hahaha.. Pretty funny and I'm not saying you "forget" a blatantly obvious sound difference. We're not playing in that field here. Audiophiles are obsessed with the slightest nuances and to believe that your superior hearing memory is immune to...
