Youtube audiophile hi res sounds MUCH better than my Eversolo streamer
Thanks @mattw73.  I do think one difference is those tracks on YT are cherry picked to be the best sounding/recorded versions of each song. I've had a really hard time finding those exact recordings in Tidal (and I tried some other platforms too)....

Ok Soix thanks for looking. I'll try to do the same when I get home.  I do need more cross referencing obviously.  I've never heard a notable sound quality difference in Tidal vs Qobuz.  Also, i'm not sure how much difference this makes but I do ...

Those are just a few.  If nothing else, the playlists are better than anything I've found on Tidal.  I just play them in the background and discover alot of new music, but when I go to Tidal to play it, it's disappointing.

Find me any percussion on Tidal or Qobuz or anywhere that sounds this good.

It has to be something other than simple bitrate. If you're a photographer, the difference is like taking a raw straight out of camera image and applying HDR to it but in a good controlled way.   I found this as I was demo'ing my speakers and di...

No it's from my Sony tv's Youtube app.  I have it going through an Anthem AVM70 via HDMI ARC into the Parasound JC5 amp and to speakers.  I use HT bypass so my 2ch is similar except it uses the Anthem STR preamp..   So, from my tv youtube app, w...

Well yes, I guess. I just played the album version. But I've never heard such a vast difference.  It's like every recording on Youtube is extremely high res or something.  Go search Audiophile audio system test or something like that. You'll find ...
Passive subwoofer amps help!
I just ran across a Behringer NX6000 locally I can grab for $400.  Doesn't have DSP but my Anthem has all that. I think I'll try this and see what happens. FYI, the subs do already have dayton audio SPA250DSP amps built in but they're literally b...

What if i don't want an amp with DSP?  What would you choose? Opinions? I'll just use the DSP in my Anthem.. Probably better to keep things simple.
Passive subwoofer amps help!
These were some subwoofers designed and made by Destination Audio to be paired with horns on top. All together, the speakers were in the $50k range. They were a one-time build and apparently tuned down to 20hz.  If you look up the Destination Audi...
Passive subwoofer amps help!
Ok looks like I was wrong.  You can set the crossover from within the settings of the crown amps.. Ok I may try those.  Still though, why not just have a low pass knob. I like knobs and hate having to go into settings all the time.
Passive subwoofer amps help!
Ok those Crown amps are only amps though, what about volume control, crossover, and phase control?  I suppose I'd have to use the controls within the Anthem preamp section to control volume, xover, and phase?  That's fine, but it's just very limit...
Anthem AVM 60 full range front and sub doesn't work
I did that.. I set the L/R crossover to OFF but the sub never gets a signal.. I have upgraded to the latest firmware too.  As soon as I set the front L/R to 40hz, then the sub gets the signal to turn on.  I've tried several times in different ways...
