Thoughts on Anthem MRX 1120 for 2ch I tried my miniDSP the other night and it made a considerable improvement in my system so I figure the ARC will probably do well. I figure that this 1120 with ARC would be far better than any 2ch without correction. Also though, if I went with ...
Thoughts on Anthem MRX 1120 for 2ch Because I found one for a great deal and can sell it if I want.
Thoughts on Anthem MRX 1120 for 2ch The MRX 720 is identical for 2ch from what I understand. I'm not unhappy with the Emotiva. I would like to be more of a miniDSP geek but I also like to know what config I'm on, if the unit is active or not, etc. It's small stuff like that that a...
How much would I lose going to a Bluesound Node 2i I just got the Bluesound Node 2i and switched out my Cambridge CXN v2 and cannot hear any difference. I'm definitely much happier with BlueOS as the Cambridge Connect app even with Tidal is awful.
Klipsch K Horns (the new AK6) d2girls Klipsch makes alot of lo-fi these days but they still make some stellar sounding speakers. Many great companies are offering lower priced products.
Klipsch K Horns (the new AK6) In my initial opinion, the new Klipsch Heritage line seems/feels cheaper than the old stuff. Things feel more veneery or plasticy than the older stuff and definitely not premier multi-thousand $$$ quality finishes. If you knock on the sides of t...
Klipsch K Horns (the new AK6) I want to remind everyone of something I read somewhere on audiogon about high-end systems and $100k speakers. They STILL don't sound anything like the real instrument, band, voice, orchestra, hall, room, etc. It's all manufactured colored sound...
Klipsch K Horns (the new AK6) I've had Klipsch speakers for most of my life including the La Scalas, Cornwalls, Chorus II, Forte II, CF3 (excellent speaker), and many others. I would say that if you've never experienced a Klipsch speaker the way it was intended, then you're m...
Great sounding/recorded albums @mofimadness I need to broaden my flavors to Steely Dan then. They've just not been on my radar. They strike me as a bit boring and eh. But many of the things I love now, i had the same opinion of before I gave them a good shot. It's clear I ne...
Great sounding/recorded albums @n80 thanks! I actually listened to Aja today..You're right, it is very well produced. Clear, sounds "real", great separation and all the other goods.. I don't particularly love Steely Dan's music, it does sound good and well recorded. One exa...
Great sounding/recorded albums Ok let me rephrase. I'd like stuff that's dynamic and not overly "produced". Kinda like really good sounding live albums.Or "big" sounding symphonic albums that don't sound too thin with good bottom end.Stuff that I can show off my system to frie...
Roon - streaming only...where'd you get your NAS? I need better friends with files :(I think, if I got Roon, I'd have to run it from a laptop... Then USB from lappy to my Cambridge CXN v2 as a digital input..Isn't that correct?
Roon - streaming only...where'd you get your NAS? Thanks @ron17. I don't have a huge collection of CD's unfortunately. I wish Roon offered a "streaming" only tier. I wouldn't get the full benefit of using Roon without having a NAS or downloaded music stored somewhere it doesn't look like. Who'...
Roon - streaming only...where'd you get your NAS? So where did everyone get their NAS? Like can I pay someone $100 for theirs? Did yall pay $1 per song? Did you sit there and rip every one of your CDs?
Tidal vs Hi Res Files vs CD vs “Netflix”. My test. Incredible! Ohhh ok. Yeah that's total apples to oranges. The movie will EQ the crap out of the music so you might as well turn the bass and treble knobs all the way to the right basically. |
