SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
@laskakj Thanks for the real-world experience and with the same sub!  That's kinda was I was suspecting.  I don't like hearing the loss in "chest rattle" as that's why we buy big subs in the first place.  But if the quality is that much more signi...
SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
Talking about the benefits of component or general isolation is not the topic here..I go back to where a guy on YT did an experiment with the SVS rubber Isolation feet on his sub in sealed mode on a concrete slab and the output was significantly l...
SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
@bdp24    This is a video done by Townshed to promote their product right?  Have there been any/many independent users to cite similar experiences?  I've seen tons of great things on Isoacoustics and have a pair of Gaia II's (not installed yet).  ...
SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
@erik_squires Thanks, that's the kind of info I'm looking for.  So basically, leave the factory rubber stubbs on sealed woofers on a slab.
SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
Ok the SVS  are not springs. They're little malleable pieces of rubber with zero engineering thought included.  There certainly is back and forth. These are not isoacoustics feet.
SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
geoffkait, I understand that.  But if you have a sealed sub on a slab, wouldn't the "wobblyness" be counteractive to the woofer?  Lessening its effectiveness?  Lowering its output?According that dudes youtube vid, that's exactly what happened I th...
SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
There's a YouTube vid I watched from a guy last night who did some measurements but I wasn't quite convinced I understood what he was saying.. He has a PB4000 (ported)..  Ran REW both ported and sealed with the SVS feet.  According to the chart, i...
Who buy PS AUDIO ?
Some people are just dissenters. They want to buck the norm and hate everything most people love.  Paul has really put himself out there and opened the curtain to the behind the scenes workings.  I trust PS Audio and their company MUCH more than m...
Anthem STR preamp vs Integrated amp preamp section
Thanks, Either way, it appears the preamp is a much better or higher end piece of equipment basically.  Therefore, I should see sonic differences over using the Integrated's preamp correct?
Anthem STR preamp vs Integrated amp preamp section
Thank you Chris. That's VERY informative... However, somewhat disturbing since I did email Anthem's support and was told twice there is NO real difference.  " Hello,  The only difference is the type and amount of connections on the back, the prea...
Parasound A21+ or PS Audio S700 monos?
I had the A21 and now have the M700s.  For me and my efficient speakers, I'll take the PS Audio M700s anyday.  They just sound more lively and snappy to me.  I'm a little skeptical of the improvements from the A21 to the A21+.
Power Conditioners---old electrics in my house.
When people say "worked out well" what does that mean?  That you feel more protected?  Survived a strong thunderstorm or a power surge?  I think what we're all interested in here is "does it change the sound for better or worse?"  Does it bleach t...
Surge protector vs wall debate for amps
Definitely check out PS Audio's P5 or a used P10.  Many people claim these are the best tweak they've made to their system.  I can't think of a better system than to totally regenerate high quality power.  Many claim that conditioners "bleach" the...
Maybe I'm crazy, JBL 530 vs DCM..
Big KEF fan here... I sold my KEF LS50s because the JBL studio 530s just sounded better to me.
Ditching Roon going back to BluOS for Bluesound Node 2i
Cool.. Why are you using SPDIF.  My understanding is this is  the lesser of all digital connections.  I thought the hierarchy  went something like this:1. i 2s2. USB3. Digital Coaxial4 .Optical / SPDIF (same things right)
