Who here loves his/her Rogue Audio Integrated amp?
Bought a Rogue Sphinx integrated. It was the most problematic component I ever had. Noise from both channels and then both would go out. Sent it to Rogue for repair. Rogue never returned four phone calls. After they said they "fixed" it, they ship...
Pro-ject speedbox: Is improvement worth the $ ?
LOL. Yes, I've been doing this audio thing for a long time. I've been through my share of ups and downs, buying selling, failed equipment etc, so I know what the madness is like. Regarding the rest of my system, I have no intention whatsoever to c...
Pro-ject speedbox: Is improvement worth the $ ?
Sorry for the late response. I've been away for a few days.Kiko65, I purchased the Graham Slee Era Gold mkV. I also purchased a Ortofon 2m Blue brand new but haven't received it yet. About a month ago I decided to get into vinyl for the first time...
Pro-ject speedbox: Is improvement worth the $ ?
Hmmm. The table will be plugged into a voltage regulator so it WILL see a steady 120V. All of my equipment draws such little power the output always shows 120V in the display, never going up or down even one volt so I should be good there. Like Ki...
How loud is loud?
On every single song I play, I ask myself, "If I were listening to this live, at what volume would it be played at?", and I adjust it accordingly. I've been to a certain audiophile's house a few times. His system retails for well over $300K. Every...
LFD Integrated - Please talk me out of buying one
Steveashe, glad you're happy....for now. I don't know what u paid for the LFD but going by your musical tastes, I think you could've done better for less. However if you're happy, enjoy.
LFD Integrated - Please talk me out of buying one
Oh, and it's less than $900 new.
LFD Integrated - Please talk me out of buying one
I don't know your power requirements, listening habits, room size, etc...but I've recently took ownership of the greatest amp I've ever owned, the Clones 25i integrated. In my system, it is very natural, organic and just plain "real" sounding. It ...
Your most disappointing purchase or audition?
Oh yeah, and another......Coincident Super/Total Eclipse something or other speakers. Sounded DREADFUL in my room. No other component I've ever heard left me asking myself, "What the hell is all the hype about?" Couldn't sell them quickly enough.
Best Integrated, period.
Tbg, I'm unfamiliar with Exemplar, however doing some quick research shows me that many people are happy with their products. Looks like they make some nice stuff.
Your most disappointing purchase or audition?
Rogue Sphinx integrated. Had crackling coming from the left channel and right channel would cut out completely when changing inputs. Sent it back to Rogue for repair. Rogue never contacted me to give me status of the repair. Never returned my mess...
what amp under a grand?
Well, if you hadn't mentioned the first three bands, I would say go for the 25i, its 25 watts double into 4 ohms. However, you always could go with Funjoe's higher output amps. His 50 watt amps double into 4 ohms, so 100 watts would've been enough...
what amp under a grand?
Don't know your speaker's specs, your listening tastes or room size, but the Clones 25i is the best amplification I've ever owned and probably the most natural and non-HiFi sounding amp I've heard at ANY price. If you like room shaking bass and a ...
Best Integrated, period.
For the past week I've had the pleasure of listening to what I consider to be the most natural, non-hifi sounding amplifier I've ever owned....the Clones 25i integrated. Every listening session has me shaking my head in disbelief, not only as to w...
Seeking more 3d imaging, deeper/wider soundstage
A suggestion that won't cost a dime: Move your speakers further apart and/or bring them out into the room some more. Also, experiment with more drastic toe in once you've spread them apart. You may be surprised.....
