So you just took a gummie...What song is on the menu? I sadly didn't see any in this thread that I haven't tried before, all good though. I'll add a few more to enjoy: Mazzy Star JJ Cale (I always thought he was better then Clapton...) David Bromberg And yeah, although I'm over 60, I'll be in my ...
Replacing current sub with another I have the JL110 with DSP. It was very easy to integrate with my speakers because of the DSP. Also the 10 inch woofer works well in a small size room. I do wish it could be adjusted on the fly though an app on my iPad/phone.
Intergrated amp upgrade ? @elliottbnewcombjr Elliot is correct, you need an amp with a loudness control, or at least tone controls, you lose a lot of music at the top and bottom end playing at low volume, it's just the way the ear works. Both those amps are great soundin...
How to prevent visitors from touching your system They need to learn respect for other people and their belongings. I have a seven year old nephew and he understands not to touch it. I explained what all the equipment does and also how a turntable works. Although before I could explain records, h...
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO or Rega Planar 1 or Music Hall MMF-2.3 for casual listening? Only one man's opinion: 1) Music Hall 2) Rega 3) Pro-ject Have you given a thought to the cartridge? That will make a much bigger difference in sound quality then the sound difference between the above tables at that price range. By the way, ...
advice for headphones? I have found that headphones are a very personal matter, both in sound and comfort. I play guitar and have the GRADO SR20 for my phone, and SR1000 for my home stereo. They are light weight and fit me well, (I have normal size ears, so I can't com...
What's up with the price of Vintage equipment? @mapman Yes, I well remember Tech Hi-Fi and the Ohm's - they had several great speakers. It's funny now, but we used to sell Cerwin Vega's against them! They didn't sound better, but the Vega's had a 15 inch woofer and people (teens mostly) thou...
What's up with the price of Vintage equipment? @jasonbourne71 I'd rather not say to be honest, only because a while back I mentioned how I did not like the sound of a piece of equipment that I had actually owned for many years. I didn't trash it, I just said I didn't care for it. Someone jus...
Bluesound node 2i wifi vs bluetooth connections sound quality Bluetooth was never made for music, neither was wi-fi really, but the bandwidth is much greater with wi-fi. @ozzy62 is spot on.
Stoned ice coffee? @mahler123 you opened the floodgates, how about Little Feat's "Rocket in my Pocket"
So you just took a gummie...What song is on the menu? Don't bogart that joint my friend. But you can keep the gummie.... Great selections here. I'd add in Hot Tuna/Jorma, electric or acoustic depending on the mood that the gummie(s) brings on.
Extract vocals or instruments from tracks with AI! As a amateur guitarist, this is great. I can make any song into one I can play along with. It works much better then what's currently out there. Anyone who sings will like it as much, although it seems taking vocals out is still the hardest to g...
Bluesound Node X is out I owned Bluesound, it is good stuff for the money, Glad they upgraded the DAC.
Stoned ice coffee? Mick must need the money to support a new girlfriend, and Keith for another blood transfusion. Just joking. It is Kinda sad, but musicians selling their songs for an TV Ad is even worse. I remember a story that they wanted to buy Johnny Cash's "...
G Rated Comments About the Relevance of Pink Floyd’s Animals Album: Great Album, but it's partly a musical interpretation of Animal Farm by George Orwell, which was published in 1945. Which, as stated on Wikipedia, is based on events of the Spanish Civil war 1936, and the 1917 Russian revolution. So anywhere from ... |
