@tzh21y What gear are you listening to as ancillary...Bose? Because, what you state makes sense if you that's what is your experience. OTOH on a system that is resolving, then even those with tin ears are going to understand why the Linn is still ...

@nkonor. I noticed again that misinformation is prevalent with this table. Your post states you owned a Lingo...presumably the shoe box model. That model is miles away from the current model with a Radikal D. You then state you heard at Thomas’ pl...

@nkonor  I have a friend who has the Technics SL1200G. We have AB'ed it against my Linn...result, he is now trying to sell the Technics and buy into the entry level LP12 Magik! I happen to agree with you, the Triplanar arm is a superb arm, and one...

@dsholl1 Funny how guys with Kuzma’s always say they beat the LP12 Radikal D...not in my books and not by a long shot. All of the Kuzmas I have heard sound inferior to a well set up Linn...Obviously YMMV.
Delos bottoming out anybody else experience this?
@catcher10.  I’m not sure how the cartridge would not be parallel to the record, if the tonearm wasn’t also? Could you explain?
Delos bottoming out anybody else experience this?
@tzh21y It would seem that you should have your set up checked before you do anything else. I believe the Delos is supposed to track with the arm parallel to the record...which you state yours is not!

The latest LP12 Klimax is able to compete with tables that are very significantly higher in price. I think the problem is twofold...one) the table doesn't have the high tech look that some of the deep pocket a'philes want, and two) it has had so m...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer...
@thepreludeimplicit. You bring up some very good points. Why do you have no true high end shop in a Metro area of 2 million...where you can purchase a high end cartridge? I guess I’m lucky, as in my area with about the same population, I do have o...

Looks like the ZYX line has gone into a new cantilever material...Carbon Fibre. That should be an interesting aspect as to whether these cantilevers prove to be durable or not. Although, I would see no reason to suspect that they would be any bett...
Radikal Linn LP12 or Palmer 2.5?
I have heard both tables. The Palmer is very good. However, to my ears, the Full spec LP12 Radikal D is at least as good, and depending on one’s musical taste, even better than the Palmer (particularly for jazz).I think the Origami arm is a good a...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer...
I am having a hard time comprehending this...how is that the grey market vendors of high priced cartridges can not only beat retail prices easily, but also have plenty of supply? As an example, with Benz cartridges, there are a few grey market vend...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer...
@hdm I think it fairly obvious that you don’t believe in buying expensive cartridges. Reason I say that is if you did happen to spring for one of these, I seriously doubt you would want it compromised once it needed a retip by any of the non fact...
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
@paulcreed  Why do you think most people hate Linn’s? Although this may be a slightly tougher statement than I would use, I do think that most people are happy to bash Linn. Those that bash Linn, IME have not heard what a well set up LP12 can do....
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer...
Thanks for giving us a heads up about Juki. There are several vendors on eBay and a couple here that are very much grey market. Odd thing is that they seem to have good feedback on ebay, except nothing that relates to cartridge sales! Kron on this...
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
I think these days, great digital can come close to the very best analog. Close, but not at quite the same level. Having heard what I consider to be the best digital, the MSB Select 2DAC with power supplies, and compared it to an excellent vinyl s...
