| Why no heated gear? I guess it depends on the amp. My tubed amp warms up in about 1/2 hour. My tubed preamp has standby for about 1 minute before you can play it, but also sounds best after about 1/2 hour. | |

| Has anyone used the Electro Harmonix 6550 tubes ? My experience is that the EH is a step up from the Svetlana, but I think the best 6550 is the Tung-Sol. A close second is the SED winged C. | |
