Blu -Tack Under Bookshelf Speakers? I found it, I found it! Check these out:Tekna Sonic
What is your best kept secret in mid-fi? Move your speakers as far apart as you can. Point them in some if you loose center fill. I wnet from 6 feet to 8 feet and moved "into" the performance. The speasers now pressurize the whole room with sound.
looking for best isolation platform for CD player Sean or anyone, what do you think about magnetic levitation feet? So the the component is suspended with no contact at all?Rollerblocks seem to be good at both isolation and vibration transmission.
Dare I admit? Low end speaker confusion - help Triangle speakers may be bright but they are EXCELLENT in acoustic guitar. Try the $500 Titus, it may be the improvement that you are looking for.
Blu -Tack Under Bookshelf Speakers? You can buy a device that adheres to the speaker cabinet and will tune out the cabinet resonances. Unfortunately I can't find the catalog where I saw it (MCM I thought). Spend 15 minutes looking and can't *&!#$@%# find it, sorry.Vibra-pods und...
Buggtussel Cingulates or B&W 805's or Proac? Buggtussel got a bad review in TAS or something earlier this year. Also resale value is probably not good. So if you buy them, you better like 'em.Do you want to hear exactly what is on the recording? Them go with B&W.Proac's are more seductiv...
Your ''best kept secret'' speaker choice ? ATC is not well known but if it wasn't for B&W I think I would have bought them.Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 2 way for $328 is very good.I think everyone should have a pair of some single driver speakers, even if they only cost $60. It's pretty co...
Why Don't More People Love Audio? Gonglee3, Sony bought out Aiwa. Maybe this will help Sony's poor sound quality. Aiwa has had good sound quality for the dollar but poor quality. Naw, Sony just bought Aiwa to eliminate their products because their stuff sounded better.Interesting ...
I would like advice for a beginner. Also Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 are a terrific value. I found the mids a bit etched for my taste but they are exceptionally transparent and dynamic.CBM-170.I like concrete blocks for stands. They are cheap and totally dead. Not the best looking howe...
B&W Nautilus 803 & Musical Fidelity A3 I agree with Drrdiamond, an 85 watt integrated will not properly drive 803's. Try the 150 wpc A300 integrated as a minimum. Separates would be even better with double the peak to peak current compared to integrated, even with the same rated wpc ou...
Which speakers for top notch system I like ATC active 100's better than Verity Audio Parsifal Encores or Wilson Sofias (give these a listen before buying the WATT/Puppy 7's if you can). Real bass but tight and fast. One of the most transparent midrange drivers in the world. You will...
What do audio shops need to do to survive ? B&W has a good idea with the $300 600's and NAD at the front of the store. A complete setup for under $1,000. Which is still a lot for most people. But the idea is a good one. Start with a good bang for the buck stereo. Get people into hi-end s...

I would like advice for a beginner. Teac Reference 350 receiver is $200 at:J & R Musicand try these on the 600's. Then put the $150 you saved over the B&W 601's towards an Adire Audio Rava subwoofer. The point is an amp upgrade can do more than a speaker upgrade. Yamaha is a... |
