Why is it necessary to have gear on the same phase from electrical panel? Ok. I actually understand electricity. And I can't think of a reason. Ground IS important. You can have a ground loop so how you ground can be important. but which hot leg you use isn't important. I ran two circuits to my system, one on ea...
Loving my tube Preamp, Class A amplifier. Whats your favorite amplifiyer combination? I’m running my Decware ZMA amp with WE396A input tubes and Russian 6P3S power tubes. Using the preamp in my DAVE DAC keeps the signal path as simple as possible leading to amazing transparency, detail, and soundstage.
One dedicated circuit for each mono block? @audioman58 I’d be interested in details on your upgraded breaker. thanks.
One dedicated circuit for each mono block? @jumia I have my stereo sysem plugged into one dedicated line. So anything that might have noise associated with it such as a wall wart gets plugged into the other line. So no, it doesn't affect my system any more than something plugged in a...
Roon Discount Through the Weekend Any deals on lifetime? Just checked, no. $699 lifetime. I just paid $120 for my yearly so I can get lifetime for $580.....tempting.
Dedicated line, how many outlets two or four? I put in 2 circuits so that I can put junk like switching power supplies for TV streamers on the other circuit. I put six outlets on each circuit. However, once you have a good poer regenerator, you'll find it is plugged in and most audio compon...
Plug Amp directly to Mains or use a Power Conditioner? Unfortunately, like most, you ask the question after you already spent your money. The company that changed audio understanding of power supply is PS Audio. No matter what you think of some of their other equipment, they understand power and will...
Where to place your best switch? I just went through this. I concluded to put the generic netgear switch near the router and then put the Etherregen at the streamer with a short quality cable into the streamer. Then I realized I could move my Roon Core over to the audio stand an...
One dedicated circuit for each mono block? Your power isolator is probably undoing all the good that your dedicated line is doing. I have 2 circuits in my dedicated line. But I don't have monoblocks and I don't anticpate a use for the second circuit other than to put junk on that I don't...
Streamer issues Hate to be blunt but you're probably going to have to spend more than $79 on a streamer. Entry level I recomment the IFI zen or the Allo USBridge Signature. Both can be had under $400 if you shop around. Jerry
Im looking for the next upgrade. I'm not real sure which way I want to go Help! I used to have a system very similar to yours. None of those components are still in my system. So really you can go in any direction. Now my ML's were CLS and needed a behemoth amp to drive them. i don't know how many watts your ESLs need w...
A cunundrum of sorts... any ideas? @soix Yes, I thought he was shopping for equipment. What you suggest will work but isn't as convenient. I have one tip. Don't ask me how I know. Frankly I rejected it and insisted on HT bypass. But sometimes I"m a bit obsessive, I admit it. ...
Why are there so many wooden box speakers out there? I like the sound of that. "No wood, no Joy".
A cunundrum of sorts... any ideas? This is exactly what I do and exactly what HT bypass does. Most people don’t understand HT Bypass. HT Bypass is a way of sending the preamp signal from your HT system for the front 2 channels to a seperate input on your 2 channel amp. It is like ...
Power conditioner vs use of a audio grade outlet? You need a good supply to your power source. I don't like the word "conditioner" but hopefully yours is not one that does more harm than good. anything except the 99c bulk outlets that get loose in a year will be ok. If one marked "audiophile" ... |
