Power cable break in?
I googled the Synergistic Research Master Coupler and it appears it is no longer in production.  So you bought it used?  It has thousands of hours on it.  Does time in a shipping box reset the break in period on a cable?  What should I do in handl...
Power cable dilemma
So cable deniers don't believe you need a heavy gauge power cord.  I am a "cable denier" of sorts in that I think that 99% if not more of the gain available in a cable can be achieved with an inexpensive but heavy gauge cable.    You have describ...
Help optimizing my streaming setup
I use the etherregen switch and am very happy with it.   there are quite a few of the used out there (new production is halted for an upgrade).
Will this amp work as described below:
As mentioned, you will be wearing hearing aids before your time.  One of the great things about high quality audio is that you don't have to turn it up to sound good.
Does a brand new electrical circuit for audio gear benefit from burn in/break in time?

EXPEREINCE WITH AYON
I have an Ayon Spark Delta which I bought used and it is awesome.  the 4x 6c33c are too much heat for me without air conditioning so I have moved to a Decware amp and intend to sell the Ayon but I have nothing bad to say about them. Since it is w...
New DAC or New Streamer?
There is a lot more to be gained in a DAC.  Until you have a flagship dac of your dreams, you can get by on a $300 streamer.   In other words the differnce between a $1000 and a $10000 dac is huge but the differnce between a $300 and a $5000 stre...
USB yet again
agreed.  I've never had a toslink that I thought sounded good.  many high end DACs seem to be built around a preferred input and often it is USB.  I haven't used Coax for a while.
USB yet again
USB is criticized by those that market an alternative and those that believed their marketing literature.  USB is not inferior.
Dedicated Line - Things to consider
10 or 12 awg.  While running it, 2 lines is about the same price as one and it will also give you access to 240V if you find a 240V amp you like (I did).  20A is the wire size but 15 amp breaker is fine.  I know, that sounds a bit confusing.  It i...

Advantage using one electrical leg for audio system?
2 lets with seperate grounds could lead to or contribute to a ground loop. I have both legs available so I put junk loads on one leg and important loads on the other.   PS  I use a bipolar breaker too since I also have a 240v outlet at my stereo...
