if someone can help me......
I bought new balanced interconnects once and they took almost forever to break in.  I was ready to sell new electronics because I could not believe it was more break-in time they needed.  Then one day it happened.  The heavens opened up and shower...
D/A converter built into amp.
Well, it is very close, but not exactly the same.  They tell me that the Mohican's D/A converter is optimized for 16/44 Redbook CD's and the H360's DAC is not.  I am thinking that is the difference.

Thanks, Twoleftears in a huge way.  The SPDIF Coax sounds waaay better than the optical connect.  You never know, you know?

I have the Bel Canto one streamer which does not have USB input except for files.   It is Ethernet connected. The optical cable goes from the streamer to the amp. The streamer cost $1700 so I would consider anything under $3000 as appropriate.
Best double live vinyl?
Hey officerat, I love the Allmans as well.  Actually, I saw Littlefeat open for the Allmans once upon a time.  Nissan pavilion outside of Manassas, Va. 2008 or thereabouts.  Everyone has their favorites, so no reason to go to war.

If Little feat IS touring, it could never be the same without George, Barrere and Hayward.  Check Littlefeat.net for sure.  By the way, ALL my records from the sixties were ruined by my  Dad's record changer [Zenith].
Best double live vinyl?
Little feat all the way!  You probably are unaware that Paul Barrere and Richie Hayward have both passed on, so do not expect a tour anymore.  Too bad, I have seen them live at least five times and will miss them.

Looking for Blues with High Fidelity
I like Keb Mo's first album for acoustic guitar.  Also play Tommy Castro's Painkiller or  The devil you know.
Need help choosing a new DAC
Something to be said about budgets.  Forget about them!  Buy something that makes you feel like you got a big improvement or you will be upgrading again way too soon.  Do you want your kids to get all that money that you saved?  Spend some and enj...
Adcom GFP-555 II
I had this exact problem with my Adcom preamp.  My advise is that it is time to UPGRADE!.  Adcom was always an economy brand and there is so much better out there. You will thank me.
Changes in DAC Presentation - Need Advice
I have had some interconnects take a long time to break in [Analysis Plus], but all my electronics sounded fine after the initial warm-up.  If your previous DAC sounded fine with the Mac, then it is not the Mac.  I do have days where my system is ...
Not manufactured any more.
When I was 18 I heard those Dahlquists hooked up to a rack full of McIntosh electronics and was gobsmacked.  Thus began my continual upgrading into the best I could afford.  By the time I could afford them they were no longer made.  Sad.
Why recordings made before 1965 sound better.
I agree with oldaudioopjile.  Dolby recording was OK.  Playing your deck with Dolby on took all the air out of your music.  Does anyone want to buy my cassette deck?
When choosing new Speakers, what matters most to you?
Disregarding brands and types of speakers, I will go for the ones that make an instrument sound like it is in the room with you. Any acoustic instrument recorded well should sound lifelike.  These are the speakers made for extended listening sessi...
