Daft punks RAM on vinyl
These guys spare no expense in their production. To learn more about the daft duo, check out Rolling Stone's recent article...a decent read.
All in one brand, please help
Ditto for the TEAC...it's ideal.
Polk Audio
I've never heard a bad-sounding Polk, though I have only heard 4 models. I listened to a helluva lot of Grateful Dead and Miles back in college on my friend's Polks (5A Juniors or something like that), and though not as transparent as my Fried Q5s...
System Opinion, Fritz and AVA
I think this combo sounds superb on paper...very good mix of gear. But why not order the new AVA EL34-based amp as well and do a tube vs. SS comparison? You might be surprised at how well the tubes do with the Fritz.
Kevin gets the
Not sure if they are still on AudioReview.com, but for a long time there were many "reviews" of Kevin's lines that all mentioned Upscale Audio. The funny thing is that the writing style for all of the reviews was identical...same phrases, sentence...
Anyone try this way to wire your loudspeakers?
"Good speakers use good wires."Tell that to Spencer and Derek Hughes and legions of other speaker designers who have designed the world's finest speakers! The key to great sound is called "design," not "cable."
Why does most new music suck?
Ditto for Radio Pardise...I listen to it on my iPhone connected to my rig, and their selection is superb. The cool thing is you can bookmark your fans.

I HATE the song Salt Peanuts
I think Salt Peanuts is a cool song...Don't be hatin' on the Diz, yo.
How can a 30 watt, 28 year old amp sound more
I have an NAD 7225PE that I will never sell in a millions years. It just sounds awesome, and the only word I can use to describe its sound is "alive." I think that its sense of pacing is the key. It just makes me tap my foot and smile when I hear ...
The new Bob Dylan
Yep, I like him.
Music is FUN
What did the baroque chicken say? Bach...Get it? HAAAAA! This thread is killing me.
Happy Record Store Day
Was in NYC yesterday and passed a record store uptown...must have been over 200 people lined up before they opened their doors at 11:00. Yes, vinyl is doing well there.
Can I tweak L-R balance by differntial biasing?
Or you could use an outboard digital EQ ie an Ultracurve and use it as a balance control. I have hearing loss in my left ear, and though I still cannot achieve an absolutely perfect center image like before, it is close with this set up. I have fo...
