Music Server/DAC – Ethernet, USB, S/PDIF, AES3 or I2S.
There is obviously no best answer. It's all system dependent. USB is mine.
Music Server/DAC – Ethernet, USB, S/PDIF, AES3 or I2S.
The only audio outputs on the Node are RCA, Toslink and USB. How would I use ethernet if I want it connected to my dac.
Turntable advice
Caution: The VPI Classic recommendation above is not what you want as you are specifically asking for ease of cartridge adjustment. At first, It will take you hours to get it right, more like days. Of course, after 9 years with one, it is a piece ...
Music Server/DAC – Ethernet, USB, S/PDIF, AES3 or I2S.
With my Bluesound Node N130 and Gustard x26 pro, I am definitely in the USB camp (Gustard doing re-clock and dac). It sounds better all the time. Seems like there is either a burn-in period for the DH Labs silver sonic USB cable or the Bluesound o...
Moved from medium attic like room to larger room, everything is too bright
Add more rugs to cover most of that wood floor, lots of plush cloth furniture, heavy drapes for the windows and no metal or glass furniture anywhere. Short of that, it would take big bass traps in each corner wall to ceiling to tame the echo in su...
The new dynamic in speaker pricing
Still missing my point. Oh well, I tried.
The new dynamic in speaker pricing
@ghdprentice  Strange reply for someone who is usually well spoken. I can only guess you felt like this  implied to you. Of course, no one is stupid or ignorant for buying such speakers, but few go the extra mile to get the most out of them like...
The new dynamic in speaker pricing
So there is a thin line between moron and maniac LOL. Anyone can spend money how they wish, it is their perogative. I guess my point was pretty much missed across the board. It seems to me a majority of those willing to spend high 6 figures for s...
The new dynamic in speaker pricing
Put any of these upper six figures speakers in an average room and my bet is my $18,000 speakers in the house of stereo will make them sound silly. Meaning you would be better off spending low six figures in building a proper listening room first ...
2-3k budget - adding DAC/Server to Bluesound Node?
Check that. The I2s connection is for my CD transport to dac. Streamer to dac is UBS DH Labs silver sonic. Still about same price.
2-3k budget - adding DAC/Server to Bluesound Node?
I have no library, so I don't need a vault. My bluesound Node N130 is connected to a Gustard x26 pro dac via audioquest carbon 48 I2s connection. Total for both would be about $2,000. Doubt you could do any better for that amount of money. Mine so...
Euro Tumble
The shipping will eat up any savings you do via currency on heavy items. However, for vinyl and CDs on discogs, this is the prime time to buy Euro. Already done this a few times lately. Italy is an excellent source, usually gets to Texas in about ...
Help me spend $6000
Either I haven't had coffee yet or this is plain weird.
After the thrill is gone
@jond  👍 Right back at you. Love the detailed description of your system. And with those pics it's easy to see what the technical aspect of the equipment does for you. Intense!
