Anyone else feel like it’s the Wild Wild West? @soix I myself bought an ifi zen and ended up returning it within a couple weeks. It was so freaking difficult connecting to it with my android phone, I gave up. Glad to hear connecting it with a computer works for you. Anyway bought a bluesound...
Perspective system advise needed. Ok, Mr Right.
Busted! Reviewer copies manufacturers sales page in review? Where is jasonborne when you need him.
Perspective system advise needed. Too much arrogance here from some english speaking folks, sad. Like the OP says, it's likely the only language they mustered to learn. How cheap to belittle him over grammar, specially after he mentions being russian if I read him correctly, very ...
Best new audiophile rock album @larsman Plus he played bass on the entire album, not bothering to ask Colin Edwyn to come in. Colin said he was never even asked. I think he is great. Big mistake imo. Steven said he wanted to play it because he plays the bass like the guitar a...
Best new audiophile rock album And as the last Porcupine Tree, shame on Steven Wilson. His vinyl pressed in Czekoslovakia is of such poor quality, noisy with tiny scratches, I had to buy the CD from Italy. All that wait for this?!? Very disappointing and the music is better tha...
Best new audiophile rock album I'm with Ozzy, excellent first song then downhill from there. Some clarity in the background but his distorted sound kind of kills it. Outside of Procol, never a big fan of his, so don't pay me any attention.
How did 70s rock music transition into 80s music? @arcticdeth Thanks for the tip. Will check them out tomorrow. I really do appreciate it since I'm just diving into it. Always loved the power in music starting with hard rock like Sabbath. Now thought of as precursors to metal. Yello has some of...
How did 70s rock music transition into 80s music? I always thought of the eighties as the big hair band era. And it completely turned me off. However, since I now listen to a lot of electronic music, I have discovered an absolute genius of the genre which makes me now think the 80s were one of th...
The thing about objectivists is... I am always amazed how many audiophiles spend so much time talking about music. There is only so much time to go around, may run out of time to actually listen to music. Which btw I have done for the last 4 hours. Got my bluesound NODE to sing wit...
Playing with Cartirdge loading on my phono stage I recently acquired a Sumiko Starling and between 100 ohms and 200 ohms there is a HUGE difference. With Lyra Kleos, a 100ohms difference is hardly noticeable. Just play with it. Don't listen to anyone about that but your ears.
Questionable Tweak The more I fart, the better the bass.
Pair of Rel S510’s or Carbon Special’s? @hilde45 You are correct. I have Rythmicks too. The phase setting came out real handy when I realized having both subs by the mains did not work in my house of stereo as it produced incredibly loud rumble along the back wall. So at the recommend...
Would you spend you money on modest brand new car or rather buy top notch vintage one? Used or refurbished works well in my experience. It all depends on the source. Music room or Safe and Sound are excellent sources.
Shunyata Research Venom X EF Power Cable - Have you heard them? Where do you guys live? City, rural, apartment or house? Just wondering why these investments in power conditioning give such great results. |
