Jazz listening: Is it about the music? Or is it about the sound?
Yes...and it's "ALL THAT JAZZ"
How loud are you typically listening?
@bob540 My wife and son love all the Marvel comic book movies and go whenever they get the chance.  I grudgingly agreed to go (prior to covid) and I am still happy I brought "yellow squishes" ear protection with me.I couldn't even take the coming ...

The Lifespan of an LP?
FWIW I had a CD fail or more properly the aluminum started to corrode on the outer edge.  The corrosion was under the label and above the polycarbonate.  Has yet to infringe on any of the music.  It was an early '80s disc as I recall. Regards, barts
Taking time (and time outs) to enjoy the ride...
For whatever reason I never "suffered" the dreaded nervosa of our ilk.It was always about the music to me.  Yes, I love the equipment but very rarely do I see a "gotta have" piece, nor do I actively search it out.I was driven by dollars, too many ...
The Lifespan of an LP?
I only have about 300 records.  They have been played quite a bit and I can't tell if the sound has changed.  I play them on this beautiful piece of Americana:  http://www.victor-victrola.com/VIII.htmQuite fun to listen to the original "Take the A...
