Are all of these NOS tube inventories real? How have we not consumed them already?
Personally I think that there are plenty of NOS tubes.  But it seems the dealers deal them the same as the DeBeers family deals diamonds.I have had nothing but good experiences purchasing tubes from Upscale Audio.Regards, barts

Has "politically correct" killed the used audio market?
BMW sells "driving machines"A'gonrs should go with "sound reproduction equipment"I still sort of bristle at "high-end audio".  Just sounds like chest thumping with the underlying "I GOT $$$$$!".
Tube Amp lower power vs higher power and cruising volume
To the OP.Much good advice given already.  Seems like you're in a sweet spot, where you have an integrated that is designed to handle double the tube complement. But as you say " volume rarely goes past 9:30/10 " I sort of cringe. Aside from bein...
Opening Record Store
1)  How old are you and your friend? Not specifically, like in decades.2) Why is your friend leaving California?  Personal reasons? Or just wants to get the hell out.3) How much time have you spent in the store?  I mean full days at a            t...

PS Audio Power Plant 15........
To the OP,  If you haven't already tried this I would as a test only plug source components in to the PP.  Leave the amp out, then if no improvement plug it all into the wall (no conditioner at all).  Also, go back to the dealer and have them plug...

Too terminate or not
I don't like terminating speaker cables, it simply means you're adding another junction (another point of failure).  As an avionics tech working on jet aircraft while in the service I can tell you that most (not all) of your problems will either o...

Bought some 14/2 “speaker wire” from Home Depot
I switched to 10 gauge speaker wire around 1984, it was spec'd out by anelectrical engineer friend of mine and avid audiophile.  He needed to purchase at least 1000ft (I believe) to have it custom made. So I went in for 300 feet.  Been using it ev...
Sean Connery has passed away :-(
James Bond...too cool for school!Saw all the early movies at the drive-in as my dad would only watch Bond on the big screen.  Very fond memories.  Also it's easy to forget how "racy" those movies were at the time. R.I.P. Sean
