Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? prof,I guess I was right. You couldn't admit to your self-indulgence. Not that it's a problem :-)
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? I got your point andy. I think you missed the point of my reply. ;-) I supposed you have your point, but I think at least I was right about the self-indulgence part although that's not the only thing. But anyway, you have the right to exercise y...
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? Perfectly put. Cheers. ;-) prof,I think you missed my point. What I was saying is you intentionally trying to be illogical out of being self-indulgence. I think you enjoy doing it lols :-)
"a stylish and affordable launch into the world of high-performance audio" It's interesting how these multi-drivers speakers can be sold for so cheaply. My guess is two things: very inexpensive drivers and the cabinets are probably not up to Thiel or some of the more high-end brands. And of course, made in China helps.
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? Most audiophiles, even reviewers are "beginners". You forgot to mention that the best ones may not be "beginners", but they definitely are liars lols.
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? Bi-wire makes a difference, that is if you system has the resolution for it. Bi-amp will even be better. Although not all "bi" is good.
"a stylish and affordable launch into the world of high-performance audio" On the other hands, I saw a pair of YG Acoustics Hailey 1.2 for 25K. used. That's a lot for two woofers and a tweeter.
How Science Got Sound Wrong Too bad some certain types of memory cannot be erased. Actually I haven't had enough beers to find out. Or maybe some really expensive Hennessy - those of the very smooth operator.
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? What about wi-fi? Suspend them in the air will probably reduce jitter. Of course there will be people saying jitter in digital don't matter.
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? It's interesting to see prof don't hear difference in cable elevators. First you have to be able to hear difference in cables first :-) It's like saying I finished the race first but I crashed out on lap 8 out of 80.
Thiel Owners Something funny ...I was having a few beers late last night then I found myself listening to a pair of beautiful CS7.2 in a large mansion no less ... then I woke up, no speakers, no mansion, no beef :-) Maybe I should stop working on speakers for...
Why no “Break in” period? Believe it or not, it costs a lot of money to "measure". Some run-of-the-mill PC soundcard is not going to do it. You need at least 100K worth of equipment (and of course knowing what to measure).
Thiel Owners Andy2, glad to see that more people are getting familiar with options to have linear phase. The steepness of the slope had an impact on the pre ringing, as has the frequency of the filter.Although I've always believed in first order filters, I w...
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference? Theoretically there should be a difference due to transmission line affect with the floor acting as a dielectric, and if the cables lie on the ground, there is a asymmetric affect - the ground act as a dielectric on the bottom half of the cable, b...
"a stylish and affordable launch into the world of high-performance audio" Ugh. It's a Paradigm. It seems like you're saying Paradigm are all "craps"? Can that be a fair assessment? To label something like that to the entire company? |
