Are you getting the bass you deserve?

Do you feel that you are getting all the bass you deserve, or have been promised, or wanted or that you paid for?

Every speaker and every sub have to be set up to the room, to row music you listen to.

Yes. I have the Vandersteen 2ci with and without sub and can say I am happy both ways. I just happen to keep my sub in the system for reinforcement if needed.

@sounds_real_audio I guess to refine the question if you feel that you have enough bass how did you get to that point. Was it simply avoiding the hype surrounding bass or something else?

I’ve owned OHM Walsh 4’s since 1986.

#1 Ensure cabinet resonances are perfectly neutralized by adjusting internal batting. This will give you excellent bass without mid-bass nasality - if you get it right.

#2 The OHM’s are bottom vented; if placed on carpet some of that energy and dynamics will be absorbed. Trick is to place speaker on an acrylic base (in the case of the 4’s it’s 16"X16") This results in a more detailed sound throughout the entire spectrum and a tighter better defined bass.

That;s what 30+ years of experimentation has taught me.
