worn out Numbers

Hi this may sound like a stupid ? but has anyone that has a Accuphase integrated amp 6-7 years old have had some of the volume numbers wear off the face plate. is this something common to these amps,one is for sale with this problem ,just seams  a strange ,thanks for any answers.
