worn out Numbers

Hi this may sound like a stupid ? but has anyone that has a Accuphase integrated amp 6-7 years old have had some of the volume numbers wear off the face plate. is this something common to these amps,one is for sale with this problem ,just seams  a strange ,thanks for any answers.

Depends how they are cleaned.

While not common but it can happen to any gear. The direct contact with frequently used knobs and button may show discoloring or smearing of markings due to oils and dirt build up on our fingers.

i clean my gear with sandpaper and turpentine
i don't have any print on faceplates anymore
that way only i can operate my system
