Why does Audiogon always close a discussion when georgehifi objects to it?
It seems that when like minded individuals want to partake in same discussions, posers like georgehifi can shut it down just by saying they disagree over and over and over and over and over, saying the same thing. Not bringing anything new to the discussions.....
On these threads there are members who have spent a lot of money on Audiogon, are cordial to one another and yet, it means nothing, nothing to the Audiogon monitors. In todays times when people are so divided it’s a shame Audiogon cannot and will not do anything to stop this.

@tyray. I find your post very interesting. Sorry about your Mother. So how do you know if any of these people have spent a dime on Agon? @millercarbon did not even list his old turntable here when he put it up for sale. He posted it at USAM for free… Now I will agree that some threads can be very one sided and many of us can be passionate about our position and be a bit repetitive. So you like Mr Millercarbon are supportive of the Cancel Culture by cancelling @georgehifi yet you want a safe space for your opinions and your opinion only. So how do you know if any of these people have spent a dime on Agon? Like you do? How do you know I don’t? So why does georgehifi get to ’cancel’ any thread he wishes? I’ve NEVER asked or tried by other means, to get anyone’s thread canceled. And one more thing, I am NOT millercarbon, by any stretch of your imagination. I have no problem taking the heat. But somebody’s gotta say something. It’s just wrong. |
what a rather unpleasant thread it is never clear why any discussion thread is deleted... when mods delete them, there is no record or identification of the reason or the user whose request was acted upon we can only assume the mods felt it is in the best interest of the forum overall, given its objectives and standards, that the deletion occur |

Do you recommend any for audio stands for easy (rolling) access to the back of the gear? Are there any you can recommend for damping/decoupling and the type of materials the wheels are made of? @yuviarora People that cannot defend their ideas resort to silencing their opposition. The rules of Audiogon are quite clear as was pointed out to me just yesterday in no uncertain terms by @cleeds. Diarize this quote for future reference - This is a hobbyist's group, not a scientific forum. No one here owes anyone scientific proof of anything. If that's an "issue" for you, you may be in the wrong place. |
@noske Ignore the threads that deal
with subjects that you disagree
with..... Print that and post it on your refrigerator. People that are not interested in what is being said, or disagree with the sentiment being expressed, go out of their way to force themselves into the conversation.....and then scream for the moderators to intervene. It happens again and again and again......and it is always the same side that calls for the banning/shutting down of threads. |
