Which model Tannoy for my audio room

If you are talking about the old prestige line I think it is called. I think you should speak with the US distributor. Limiting factors might be cost as well as room size and amps.

I would go with the kensingtons or the canterburys. I think the yorkminsters bass would overwhelm the room. Maybe the stirlings. Canterburys maybe be borderline too much as well.

Tannoys can work very well in many different rooms. There has been discussion on this very subject recently on Hans Hilberink's Tannoy Yahoo website.

Google the Yahoo forum site, and also Hans' Tannoy website.

I use 12" HPD 315's, with either an SET 300B amp, or, 500 Wpc Class D amps in my 16.5' X 34' w/cathedral ceilings, excellent results with both amps in this setting.

I was thinking of the larger more efficient models like
Canterbury or Westminster.

I don't know if they will work in a small room,that's why I wanted info from people that have listened to them .

The Canterburys have adjustable bass energy, and do a great job. You don't have to play them loud enough to overpower your room, but they will let you attend a concert!

Today I checked in on the British site Pink Fish Media where a knowledgeable gentleman reminded the old rule of thumb that
if they fit through the door they will work just fine...

No joke, I've seen Westminster Royals in a room that was 16 X 12. They were against the 16' wall and sounded very impressive, as they should. :-)

Pair the Westminsters with a Wilson Thor's Hammer and feel the noiz...

I have a very similar room dimensions as yours and I use a Tannoy Turnberry SE. I have powered with various tube and SS amps. It is the right size for such a room IMO. I have also heard a Kensington and Stirling SE in similar rooms and all of them sounded extremely comfortable (without much of room treatments except some carpet and curtains around). Canterburry in such a room is borderline case definitely.

Your bigger amps will drive the Westminsters. You have to go with them if you have the funds. A speaker to own for life. Canterburies, they are great, but the Westminsters are the stuff of dreams.

After much research and phone calls I decided to not purchase Tannoy's at this time.

I purchased the book "Get Better Sound " by Jim Smith.
I want to thank everyone for the reply's and in the future I may get them but for now I will work on my room .

This weekend I finished reading the book and I must say it is very good.
Without any other changes I moved my equipment back 2" against the front wall and moved my mono bloc's out of the corners and it is noticeable clearer and tighter edges not wow but it is noticeable.
Next will bed sound panels.

This book is highly recommended.

If I listened to everyone who told me, "That speaker is too big for your room," I would have had a much more impoverished audiophile experience.

Late to the party and I see you made a decision but to add.

I have Kensington GR in similar sized room but with higher ceilings and I could not be more impressed. Not only do they sound great but they are beautiful to look at. They do a lot of things right IMO
