WHERE TO BUY LIGHT BLUE PLEXIGLASS MCINTOSH

Hi, there, does anyone know where to buy the LIGHT BLUE PLEXIGLASS FILTER (the one behind the glass) for MCINTOSH MC162? It seems that MCINTOSH is no longer providing them!!!! Thanks in advance. Carlos.

For my MC2205, I used 2 sheets of thin clear plexi, printed a facsimile of the original faceplate on photo paper, and went down to my local hobby store to pick up plastic gel sheets in the color I wanted.

I cut them larger than the meter cutouts on my photo-copied faceplate and held them in place with cello tape. I then sandwiched the photocopy and gels in between the two thin plexi sheets, discreetly glued together where the glue couldn't be seen and holds the entire faceplate 'assembly' together, even in the center.

It'll hardly cost you anything! Then again, if your faceplate is ok, you could just use adhesive to attach the gels to the meter faces (I know the lights one can get just don't have the same 'feel' for the blue color...)

Cheers!
Contact audio classics.com, they offer retrofit LED lighting kits for many McIntosh amps. Those kits come with blue filters for the lamps, I am sure they could sell you some or direct you to their supplier.
