Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

I am not sure I understand your statement.  If I haven't responded to a comment or comments that have been directed at me by you, then I apologize.   Sometimes I lose track of what thread I have participated in.  I hope I haven't slighted you.

If it helps any I could not stand listening to attention attention on my main rig at all.
It did not sound too bad playing via Tidal on my phone transmitted to the car stereo via Bluetooth! Seemed to take the harshness out of it!
This album title ALWAYS cracks me up.
You can tune a piano but you can't tuna fish..... Reo Speedwagon
Nice Nutty!
Huge Dream Theater fan here.

Black clouds and silver linings is a top spin for me.
Last of my fresh purchases.

Alf...Alison Moyet.

Still one of my favourite female singers and this l.p. is superbly produced and mastered to boot.
@uberwaltz  - I love Alison Moyet. I've had "Alf" since it was released. Great album. I also enjoy her albums with YAZ, from before she went solo.
@reubent

Yea, just never found the vinyl at a fair price or condition until now.
Tbh I am in a bit of a vinyl binge for the bands from my English youth of the 80,s.
Simple minds, talking heads, the cars, Thompson twins, Frankie goes to Hollywood etc etc.
Its a retro blast.....lol
@uberwaltz  - I just listened to Frankie Goes to Hollywood - "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" last weekend. Didn't want to admit it, but since you brought it up.........

I always liked the song "Two Tribes".
@reubent

Haha
Yea probably10 years ago I would not have admitted it either.....😂.
Tbh some of the 80,s I would like to forget...like big hair and medallions!

Now I am just appreciating how well the majority of these albums were recorded.

Have Men At Work ready to spin next.

reubent, uberwaltz,
++ Allison Moyet, though all I have is The Best of - 25 Years Revisited CD set.
"Where Hides sleep"  is excellent

Wilco “Sky Blue Sky”

Dire Straits “Love over Gold”

How good is Mark Knopfler!

@jafant

Eat the Elephant by A Perfect Circle is an absolutely sublime album, I listened on tidal and have just ordered the vinyl version
Donkey punch the night... Puscifer.

Maynard on top form on this group of "covers"
uberwaltz,

Revisited Dream Theater's Awake- it featured John Petrucci’s use of a seven-string guitar for the first time, establishing a more riff-based writing style. It also was keyboardist Kevin Moore’s second and last albumn with DT.

Today, listened to an excellent disc - Fates Warning, Disconnected featuring Kevin Moore on keyboards.

It is good to see the guys back in action - uberwaltz.
I wished that Paz was still in the mix? She is a sexy Bass player.

Happy Listening!
@jafant
Yes Paz was a darn good bass player too, from the Pixies I believe.
Just more to listen to!

Post concert high - Boz Scaggs - Down Two Then Left

In prep for Steely Dan And The Doobie Brothers concert - Steely Dan - Aja

I caught The Dan back in 2009 and was really impressed with the accuracy each musician played numbers from "Aja". Enjoy the show!

Happy Listening!
Now and Zen... Robert Plant.

Do not really care what Michael green says, there truly is some poorly recorded and mastered music out there.

This is NOT one of them!
Sublime even on cassette.
Kansas, Leftoverture, CD
Motley Crue, S/T, CD Featuring John Corabi on vocals, (not Vince Neil). Also featuring Glenn Hughes on backing vocals on "Misunderstood".

Mott the Hoople
Real blast from the past.
Very underrated band imho.
Nice choices Woobie
