Off the beaten track, on YouTube on my new iPad, MC5 live Ramblin’ Rose/Kick out the Jams, George Harrison tribute concert with the absolutely amazing guitar of Prince on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Johnny Winter live at Woodstock, Canned Heat On the Road Again at Woodstock. Excellent sound with plain old vintage Sony earbuds or whatever they’re called.

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Thanks for the recommendation, @arcam88. I'm probably repeating myself. Only heard their hits. Never owned any of the LPs. Will do some more listening at the least. Tidal doesn't have too much of their earlier discography (which is definitely what interests me). Spotify has quite a bit although the SQ is not as good as Tidal. Guess I'll have to suffer with that ;-) |
