Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

nutty
Today was an all Nirvana day!

Nirvana:  Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide, In Utero, Unplugged, From the Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah, Nirvana 2002.
Yeah...new name to me: Vincent Moore.  Thanks to Nutty (and Arcam88) for the introduction.
+1 on Vinnie Moore!

May have actually filled Schenkers shoes quite admirably in UFO.

Time for a tape or two.

Perfect Strangers .... Deep Purple
Check out Vinnie Moore, To the Core
He spent some time with UFO and Alice Cooper. Here’s "Off The Hook"

masterofzero, Wecome! Great album BTW

uber, No Ferrari in my future lol

Grizzly Bear / Veckatimest
Agreed G.
Excellent album, I have a pretty worn copy on vinyl, probably need replace it at some stage.
So much music, so little time!

Atm, I am just working through the alphabet on vinyl, grabbing blindly out of each section....lol
Beats thinking about what to play!

Next up.

Child in Time ... Ian Gillan Band
Hey U. - I only just found/tried Redemption on Tidal. Liking it.

w/r to Frampton, do you know his studio album that came out before Comes Alive? Link here to it on Amazon. Excellent, excellent. Solid songwriting throughout. Worth a listen if you don’t (unlikely as that might be). Worth many listens, actually. CD's okay but if you can find a nice clean original release in vinyl, sonics are quite good (and I’m mostly digital these days).

Love that album G.
Gets a workout frequently.

I'm in You .... Peter Frampton.

Vinyl
Joe Bonamassa - Redemption

It’s got a few interesting and enjoyable tips of the hat to Led Zeppelin. Beyond that, JB keeps finding ways to keep that blooz-rock thang fresh.

Awake .......Skillet

CD

They may be labeled as "Christian" rock but they sure can rock!
Caught them live at a Christian rock livefest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin 2017.
They rocked totally!
So is the mk2/3 Beetle.......

But I do believe the BB512 might cost a few dollars more than my meager pittance can stretch to!

😇😇
@reubent

Not much difference between the BB512 and a Beetle.......

😁😁
@boxer12 - I thought maybe you had a Ferrari BB512 or Testarossa. Or VW Beetle or Subaru...;~)
Hey Reubent, I've had a couple BMW (boxer engine) motorcycles. That is where the name came from. Been a motorcycle fanatic since age 12. They are/where one of the best motorcycles made. Currently down to only 2 motorcycles though. Both american, one is a 1982 Harley Davidson Sportster (shovelhead engine) I bought new in 1982, & the other is a Victory Cross Country, I use as a daily driver when weather allows (I live in Michigan). Thanks for asking.

Michael Hersch / Images from the closed ward
@boxer12 - So do you, you know, have a boxer12? Enquiring minds need to know...... :~)
Jerry Garcia & David Grisman / So what
Great recording if you like guitar jazz
Hey Uber, What is "Dead Sara" like? What would you compare them too?

The Tragically Hip / Live
Pleasure to Meet You ... Dead Sara.

180g vinyl

Just working my way through vinyl at random, going alphabetical just pull an album out of each section, this was D.
I have to admit that I do not actually own any Camel vinyl, very ashamed!
Just listen on Tidal but must rectify that glaring error soon!
Nice Mapman, thx for the link.

And something completely different.....

Sparkle in the Rain ...... Simple Minds.

Pristine vinyl copy.
Big Camel fan practically since their inception. I have most all of their releases from over the years. Check out http://www.progarchives.com/ for a site that demonstrates fan appreciation of Camel, Andrew Latimer, Peter Bardens, and supporting casts over the years. Even somewhat more pop oriented and less progressive late 70’s-early 80’s albums Breathless, I Can See Your House From Here, Nude, and Stationary Traveller are all worth way more than the price of admission as are even later releases Rajaz, Nod and a Wink, and the redo of Snow Goose from a few years back.
Boxer
Glad to hear not on my own!
I remember seeing them live on the Rain Dances tour.... Mesmerizing stuff!
Uber, I agree. I bought pretty much all that I could find from them 25 to 30 years ago. Great band!

James & Brian Eno / Wah Wah

MoonMadness ... Camel.

One vastly underrated British prog rock band who always seemed to be in the shadow of someone or another!
Shame.....
nuttyHappy New Year!   Here is to another excellent music filled outing.
Today I took the Kamasi Washington Heaven and earth for a spin. got it for Xmas and Im happy to say I like it way better than "The Epic" Just listened to Rhye "Woman" Rather interesting group. Had no idea that is a man singing lead. If you like music by Sade you will most likely like this LP.

Cheers
