Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Mississippi Fred McDowell, 'Shake 'Em On Down'.

I have this 'Tomato' label CD

Amazon offered 1 track to stream for free, I went back and streamed it. Horrible, horrible lifeless sound.

If this was your first impression of him, you would pass. The CD is awesome.
M and Fred made me remember Muddy Waters.

When he moved west, my good friend Nasty Ned gave me his Muddy Waters LP Collection. (Ned played with him a few times).

I'll be bringing them upstairs later for a deep immersion.

Nasty Ned is a terrific blues harmonica player and singer

streaming quality isn't great, if he's your kind of thing, I bet you will love a CD of his.

I’ve been trying to find some of the better recorded and more “recent” jazz projects with really innovative  writing, eclectic instrumentation and unrivaled playing to boot.
Lately haven’t been able to get away from:

1. Mark Turner, Dharma Days
2. Eyolf Dalle, Return to Mind
3. Seamus Blake and Chris Cheek, Let’s Call the Whole thing Off
4. Geoffrey Keezer, Falling Up
uber, I had to take a double look at that name on the cover as well (LOL)

riccitone, thanks for the lead(s)!
