Matchbox Twenty-Mad Season(CD) Kicks off vinyl night.
Whats playing on your system today?
Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Maazel - ‘The Cleveland Years’ collection box set. DECCA 2015 release. Listening to disc #1 - Debussy. Listen to these from many other conductors and orchestras, so usually skip these in this set, but today, I will take a close listen. Recorded in 1977 and 1978. La Mer, Nocturnes, and Iberia (Images for Orchestra). CD |

@jjss49 mjq on cassette -- awesome!!! Yes, sounds wonderful. I was getting into Jazz right at the time LP’s, cassettes, and CD’s were all available. Glad I still have these cassettes. In fact, wish I had more of my old purchases from that period (mostly 80s-early 90’s) were on cassette than CD’s. Today will primarily be a cassette day, as far too often, they sit in their racks getting ignored ;-) |
