Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Family Band "Grace & Lies".

Hey @boxer12
If you liked the Orenda Fink lp, you should seek out this one.
Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason. This is the 45 RPM two disc set. I just put it and right out of the gate it sounds fantastic. If the rest of it sounds as good as this then I would highly recommend it. Vinyl is really quiet and it’s nice and punchy.
Plasmatics  “Beyond The Valley Of 1984”  Stiff America 1981

Blonde Redhead  “Barragan”  self released  2014

Duster  “1975” Up Records 1999

Portishead  “Dummy”  Go! Beat UK 1994
Steve, I don't know if it's an original but I have an old beat-up copy that I paid $2 for and I can report that this one sounds better.
J.J. Cale / Naturally
Fleet Foxes /Shore
Thin Lizzy / Jailbreak
The Tragically Hip / Day for Night
Supertramp "Breakfast in America"
MFSL, latest

Last time I listened, I put it into my sell pile. Re-evaluating.
This album would be very interesting to listen to, through an equalizer or an amp with tone controls.

After listening,,...... the lp on it’s whole, sounds fake, under a microscope.

It's only when it's coming through in your room along with an honest listen, the there can be a real evaluation.

You see the potential.
Thanks @boxer12.  Shed cleaning produced 3 more boxes of records that had not seen the light of day for over 30 years.  Lots of Residents and Iggy Pop (mostly European releases) I’d forgotten about.

The cleaning ritual has begun.
John Barry: Out of Africa soundtrack
Radiohead: Hail to the ThiefChris Isaak: Heart Shaped World

Was thinking about that one recently, Greg. I bought that one a while back and it started my extended search for more ,VFs
Hi @slaw, shhhhh, don’t tell my wife.  If she were ever to discover Discogs, I’d be in big trouble.
Hey puffball,

They gives me pause, then reminds me of why I'm, so happy now

WLP "Brain Salad Surgery"
Manticore/pp

Paid $20.00 for this, ten years ago. No tellin' now?
This record was a "watershed" moment in the Prog/Rock movement that is fast approaching.
That ELP BSS has some of the cooler jacket art. The original title was to be Whip Some Skull On Ya but was changed after it was found the meaning translated to “fellatio”. They shoulda stuck with the original, who’d know? Like what Steely Dan is named after…

Emerson, Lake & Palmer / Brain Salad Surgery
For those of you considering the 45 RPM Momentary Lapse of Reason, not everyone agrees with me about the new remixed version.  I'd read some of the comments here or stream it first - https://www.discogs.com/release/20776813-Pink-Floyd-A-Momentary-Lapse-Of-Reason-Remixed-Updated

I noticed that I was hearing things I hadn't before, but was thinking it was due to system upgrades.  Also, the pressing of the 2nd disc wasn't as good as the first.  The first disc played super quiet, but the second disc had some surface noise in places.
Yup, 10cc. Lol.
Old 97’s, good stuff. Rhett Miller’s The Instigator also good on CD.

@slaw

Re: Crooked Still

Thanks!  i did see that but have the single disc on vinyl (it’s ok I think ) and right now can’t convince myself I need the “b” sides, etc.   If you get it please let us know about how you like the extra material.

There’s so little output by them on vinyl, I’m gonna get it and give my other copy to a friend. BTW, just pre-ordered her latest solo lp.
Just arrived!

The latest release on vinyl by Acony Records from Gillian Welch & David Rawlings "All The Good Times, Are Past And Gone"
Galaxy 500 "This Is Our Music"

BTW, Dean Wareham was leading this band prior to Luna.
Goat Girl “s/t” Rough Trade 2018

Weyes Blood “Titanic Rising” Sub Pop 2019 (Weyes Blood alias Natalie Mering once with Jackie O Motherf*cker)

Pere Ubu “New Picnic Time” Chrysalis UK 1979

Bo Hansson- Lord Of The Rings
@audiowav I haven't heard that in decades. I have it here somewhere...
If any of you aren’t buying these Acony releases on vinyl, I implore you to get them while you can.
