REO Speedwagon. " You Get What You Play For" Live Friday Music |
@tomic601 Found it Brian, i want to listen entirely but it lacks some air as i stream it vs. DG with Kirill Petrenko. As good as the Sony remaster is, from a ‘audiophile’ recording comparison, it would hard to compete with a very recent modern recording. Especially when The Berlin Philharmonic is involved. They hold very high standards today. |
Karen Wyman - S/T (Decca 1970)
Hmmm. She’s 16 and full of energy. But man, the sound is a little strident on some of the cuts. Couple of gems though. |
Lou Reed 'Rock and Roll Heart" |
Doing a home demo on a pair of Maggie .7 speakers this weekend. Starting tonight with:

Brian - I really enjoyed the Szell. They both have virtues. thanks.
Jim |
Jim, as you know, a conductor can make a difference, and then, it’s really subjective which is ‘best’. I have quite a few works by various conductors and orchestras, and deciding which to play depends on my mood, and what I want it to sound like ‘today’.
As the kids used to say, ‘it’s all good’. 😉
Check out the Mahler collection with Chailly and The Royal Concertgebouw too. Nice set. |
Holly Cole - Temptation ( streamer ) |

i’m a fan of vinyl and disappointed with the sound quality differences at times with digital. I appreciate the price impact of streaming vs vinyl. And some of my record are 50 years old. I expect streaming to at least compete. |
Oneida / Each one teach one |
The Nighthawks – Open All Nite (Adelphi 1976)
|
Santana - S/T, one of two copies in the free box. A little bit of surface noise, but it plays surprisingly well given the visual condition. |

Talking Heads "Speaking In Tongues" One heck of a way to warm up for the evening.
Pink Floyd "Meddle" Awesome! Pink Floyd "Division Bell" More awesomeness!!!
Patricia Barber "Cafe' Blue" 1-Step, this is certainly an album that grabs you and pulls you in. And the SQ on this issue is as good as it gets.
The Who "Quadrophenia" Classic Records, 200 gram QUIEX SV-P vinyl. I was able to secure this copy, factory sealed, a couple of years ago. I paid dearly for that, but had to have it. I saw the Quadrophenia, North American Tour in 1973 (or was that 1974?). That concert was at the Fabulous Forum here in Southern California. Such memories. |
Joel - awesome set ! Saw your system pics - love the groove of the room Dude. Fish art ! You might like the Ray Troll book “ Fish Worship, is it Wrong “
|
Blicher , Henner, Gadd - Get Your Motor Runnin’ ( server but i have it on LP ) |
Jackson Browne "Standing in the Breach" Always been a huge fan yet haven't bought any of his stuff since Hold Out. Decided to make up for lost time. Apparently, this title wasn't a commercial success as I got it for $10.00 sealed. |
Fleetwood Mac – Future Games (Reprise 1971)
|
I pretty much love everything but Lawyers in Love…
Downhill has been a spiritual go to for me of late….. |
Roy Harper – Flat Baroque And Berserk (Harvest 1970)

@tomic601 Fish. I once had a 75gal tank with king kong cichlids and kissing garami. |
