Steve - i think i bought my left foot… $$$ I have killer insurance but our cost share is about 10%, so let’s just say i am expecting a bill on the order of two to three Hyperion. AND blessed i am where i am…
You guys have turned me on to a number of good artists and albums.  I can't buy them all but I have picked up a good number of them.  Just arrived, P.J. Harvey "Uh Huh Her", Blue Note Tone Poet issue of "Katanga!", Pink Floyd "The Final Cut" and on the way is Roxy Music "Siren" (the last two are groups I have been listening to for many years, but the first two are directly from this thread).

I'm cleaning them in the Degritter now.  Saturday night will be a wonderful pleasure.  I love albums, I love vinyl.  This is a great thread!

Happy Friday and have a very healthy weekend.
Starflyer 59 "Young in my Head"

Noticed they have a new album coming out but sadly not on vinyl....
Jethro Tull - "Songs From the Wood"  - The Steven Wilson Remix

Listening to a new (old) pair of speakers I picked up today from another local aficionado.  JSE Infinite Slope 1.8 Floorstanders.
You can’t just hit us up with that Tom, out of nowhere.
We thought you were out on a 25 km bike ride or something?
@slaw  - Yes, quite the surprise. The guy's had them for sell for a month on local Craigslist. Kept dropping the price to a point where I just couldn't take it anymore. Finally said f@# it, and went and picked them up today at lunchtime.

They are really beautifully built speakers. Pretty large floorstanding 4-Way design with the infinite slope crossover, on casters. They are probably a little large for my room. I think they are overloading the space a bit. Will play with them for a while to see if they can replace the Infinitys (doubt it) and will pass them along to the next guy if I don't love them (as I did with the Vandersteen 3s).
I still have some fishing trips lined up.  Departing Sept 6 and returning Sept 9.  Departing Sept 26 and returning Sept 29.  That's it for the season.  I wish I could attach a picture of the biggest yellowtail I have ever caught.  It was not my best trip last week, but the yellowtail was my biggest ever, by far.  Then I have hand surgery scheduled for Oct 4th.  Damn it!!!
I should be healed and through PT in time for ski season.

Plenty of vinyl to spin and plenty of time to spin it.  I love to mix up all the pleasures in life.  Oh, and I still need to get in a couple more mountain day hikes, of at least 8 miles each.  All before it snows again.

Damn COVID, f^%*n  up my retirement.  But I am back at it and hope to make up for some lost time.

Be healthy, enjoy the music, enjoy life!
@reubent   Those are really nice speakers and they use excellent drivers.  Check the surround on the woofers because history indicates they may need to be rebuilt.  If not, they should be a wonderful fun time for you.  Even if they need a rebuild it will be relatively inexpensive and the speakers are well worth it.  Good luck and do enjoy them.
@mammothguy54  - Hey Joel. The previous owner replaced the surrounds that needed it. They all look perfect!
you could high pass them at 40 hz if they are overloading the room….  fun

Joel u can post a fish picture in your virtual system photos… God Agon is so freaking archaic…..
Tom - Richard Modeferi of JSE fame lovingly rebuilt my MX-110Z….what a cool and innovate dude…. hope these work out for you….
I have killer insurance but our cost share is about 10%
That sucks. We need universal healthcare. Hope you heal soon. @tomic601
Barbara Dane – Sings The Blues With 6 & 12 String Guitar (Folkways 1964)

She's 94 and still out and about. Bless.
Donovan ‎– Donovan In Concert (Epic 1968)

Worth having in your collection.
@noromance my favorite line ( self reverential ) from that LC album is “ i am just a lazy bastard living in a suit “…..

wry insightfully honest dude, miss him greatly…

Boz Skaggs - Memphis

Started listening early today…
George Harrison - All Things Must Pass. Apple 3 LP box 1970

All this talk, decided to spin it for the first time in a while.
from that LC album is “ i am just a lazy bastard living in a suit
That's from the previous album, Old Ideas. It's a standout verse for sure.
I loaded a picture of me and my big yellowtail fish on the systems page.  Click on the picture and it enlarges to full screen.  In the near future I will list my system components and upload system pictures.
All Things Must Pass…..good SQ, bad SQ, Spector’s heavy hand, etc.

This album(s) still draws me in, regardless. Did when I first listened to it, and still does. But must admit, always liked George, a lot, from the first time I saw him on Ed Sullivan with the Beatles, right on through the day he passed.
My music friend just left after 6 hours listening. The last song played was "Summertime" by Joanne Shaw Taylor. Gonna play it again. You should check it out!

Snacks of salmon, sardines, chicken salad, pimento cheese.
