Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Divin' in.................

Fleetwood Mac "1973 to 1974" box/re-mastered from the original analog tapes @ Abbey Road

Up now "Penguin"
Up now...... "Mystery To Me"

Penguin sounded great. The vinyl quality is great but it was warped.

Into the Orb!, I say.
Penguin is a great album that doesn't seem to get much attention

Parquet Courts / Wide awake
With "Mystery To Me" I get a sense of this era FM transitioning into their later sound.
I think Welch took them in that direction. He was a great musician. Personally, I like their style pre Buckingham/Nicks best.

Turkish Delight / Tommy Bell
I think I’m safe in saying the recording quality is stepped up a notch with "MTM".

This lp is warped as well.

I love this record!
That one & Penguin are both recorded great for their earlier stuff. Really with "Then play on" was recorded better. Wonderful music nonetheless.
While waiting on the other lps from the FM box to clean....

Eels "Wonderful, Glorious" sides 3 & 4.
@boxer12,

You should really hear these latest re-masters. They may make you change your mind?
Up now, the last lp from this box...

"Live From The Record Plant (Dec 15 1974)

Seems like a great set list.................
The last record from this box is the Live lp from The Record Plant.
I find it to be special!
@slaw

Eels "Wonderful, Glorious" sides 3 & 4.

Man, would love to hear my Eels (all on CD) on vinyl.
Doing some play grading of my collection.
Allman Brothers - Brothers of the Road
Herb Alpbert - Wild Romance

Both in good shape, both getting culled.
John Prine "The Tree of Forgiveness’

..."fry me some pork chops
And forgive my sin".
OK, with the cartridge purchased, it’s time to finally listen to some vinyl....

Todd Rundgren - Wizard a True Star. Bearsville 1973
@tomic601
Jim, after much thought, and almost buying an Mp-500, I stumbled across a Soundsmith Zephyr III demo (less than 50 hours) at Hi Fi Heaven for $998 (regularly $1,500). Free shipping, no tax.

I didn’t want that one to get away, so snagged it.

EDIT: and just got a notice on my phone that my arm is in town as well. So should have that Monday.
good pick !!!!!!! rock n roll rabbit hole !!!!!

Lol, yea, I truly feel I’m deep into da hole now.
It’s all your guys fault 😁

Im sure once I get everything together I’ll know it was a good overall investment.
Congrats on the cartridge. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the new rig.
Thank you, and everyone else who I bothered for opinions, I surely will.

You have all been a great help.
