Prince - For You
Alhaji (Chief) Kollington Ayinla & His Fuji '78 Organization* ‎– Kolawole O Ku

Yep, hit a flea market this weekend!

Will try to play some Root Boy Slim tomorrow
Aled Jones - The Best of... (1987)

Les McCann & Eddie Harris - Swiss Movement Live in Montreux (Atlantic 1969)

The Red Army Ensemble (Vox 1964)

Eddie Haywood- One For My Baby (Mercury 1960)

Goat - Commune (Sub Pop 2014)
Grand Illusion- Styx

Deja vu - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
                Dallas Taylor & Greg Reeves
Al Stewart - Past, Present & Future (1973 CBS)

Fairground Attraction - The First of a Million Kisses (1988)

Gem of an album. I played the US RCA and UK BMG versions expecting the American version to be an inferior version. Well the pressing was noisy but the sound was way better. A nice surprise.

Tom Waits & Crystal Gayle - One From the Heart (1982 CBS)

Great album with some reference-grade songs.
Preservation Hall Jazz Band - New Orleans (1977 CBS/Columbia)

Fantastic music. Wonderful recording. In the room with you.
Go Bo Diddley - Checker 1436 mono LP. Plenty of life still left in this 60+ year old record!

My good friend Rick visited this morning and we used his alignment jig to set up my Garrard 401/ Micro Seiki 505ls / Scheu Analog SL combo to Lofgren A spec.
Then verified speed with external strobe as the markings on the Garrard platter only work at 50hz....

Now sitting back enjoying the results.
Thx Rick!

Don't shoot me I'm Only The Piano Player ..... Elton John.
Ended up watching the Democratic Debate last night, so no music for me.  Appreciated Biden’s shout-out to “record players”...but at least he didn’t say “vinyls”.  My playlist today will be inspired by the candidates:

Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced (Hey, Joe)
Soundtrack - The Wiz
Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman (Just about any song applies: Father and Son, Where Do The Children Play, Hard Headed Woman)
After a while.....

Pink Floyd "The Division Bell"  2014 dbl/lp re-master
After a flattening and a subwoofer/s upgrade, I'm re-listening to A Perfect Circle "Mer de Noms". It's sounding SO much better!
Awesome sub test record Slaw!
It has so much weight and authority but zero bloat or boom.

You have me digging it out!
@uberwaltz,

You hit the nail on THE head. I've really gained a lot more respect for you lately. FWIW.
..............................................
Up now...in memory of Eddie Money "Life For The Taking".
Finally back in town after 2 weeks working out of town. Sitting down to listen to a new (used) record that came in the mail while I was away......

Neil Diamond - "Tap Root Manuscript"
Thx Slaw.
While searching for APC I stumbled on the same Eddie Money album but when I looked at condition it is pretty dire shape scratch wise.

So just a keepsake memento I think for posterity.
Welcome back Reubent!
And I have spent last 2 week's at home trying to recuperate from a torn cruciate ligament.
Meant plenty of music!

But out again Monday to BDP24 country for 10 days of work so be back to streaming only for a few days.
Wow!...what a great sounding record.

cleaning my Traveling Wilburys  box set
Thank you Mr Postman!

3 MoFi albums arrived.
Give them a clean and will be spinning tonight!

Champagne Jam ... ARS
I Robot ... Alan Parsons Project
Best of the Raspberries
Ziggy Stardust ... David Bowie.

I think the first Bowie album I ever heard and still one of my favorites.
