He has a new DAC that seems to be taking up much of his listening time (digital). He is really enjoying it, it seems.

@bslon

Hey Brian, as a Jerry G. fan O&ITW will round out your collection! 😊

No doubt about it Bill. I’ll get it eventually. One of my favorite albums ‘back in the day’.

Just arrived,

ELO "Eldorado" MFSL /2021

Tool "Fear Inoculum" 2021/RCA box

"What’s Going On"

Side 3 & 4. One side stripped down, the other mono mixes

Sounds great BTW.

My 2nd copy of Best of the J. Geils Band.  I thought for sure the one I played yesterday would be the "keeper" of the two, a really nice German pressing, but I think this one sounds even better.  Their early stuff was so good.  In my vexperience.  That was just a typo, not a new word I made up, LOL.

@slaw

Yea, I would not use the 10+ gain. I run my MIMC at 60db and that is more than enough for the lo SS carts IMO. As I told you, I tried 64, but it was a tad too much. 60 is quieter. I also tried 55, but preferred no cranking the preamp up that much, albeit I could, and it would be more quiet as well. Peter recommends 58-64.

Old & In The Way / Old & In The Way
1975 Round Records

OMG, Bluegrass!

Nice! Love that album. Its been on my Discogs want list for a long time. Many of my friends had it back in the 70's, but I never purchased a copy. Now they are $$$

And next to (recently played) Tubular Bells:

Oingo Boingo / Only A Lad
1981 A&M

I’m in the “O”s too Steve, was going Outlaws next but you swayed me towards the Daredevils. 😎
