What time do you wear?

What watch, if any, graces your wrist? Does time matter? You know: time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana. Either way.

CLASS-LESS- I THINK NOT! Maybe some day you will have some money, You must be kidding, A Fake Timex!!!
Ha Ha HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Wc65mustang, I have an 1968-9 Accutron (it is the one that was made out of solid 18c gold case) that stopped working about 6 years ago and I was never able to find someone who had the parts to repair it. It had something to do with the electronic parts. Have you had yours repaired?? My dad gave me the watch and I would love to get it repaired and wear it again.

Thanks, Lou
For everyday wearing and Omega Seamaster midsize, have had it for over ten years, still hasn't missed a beat. For dress wear, I have a watch by Titoni -- a small Swiss company which makes fine watches for the Asian and middle eastern market.
To all those who are so bloody proud to wear their class-less Rolexes: fake or not- I wear a fake Timex and it's virtually indestinguishable from a real thing
Mint604

Thats the diference.Rolex is not accurate. No mechanical watch is,cant compete with quartz.Rolex has a wonderful history...read it up and you wont wear a fake.I wear a real Rolex GMT II with Red/Black bezel.I still get a kick out of it ,everytime I put it on.Class is priceless and timeless ...
I only wear real rolex, a ss GMT Master 2, as far as being accurate, you seem like a nice guy, but you have no idea what you are talking about, I really dont think your Chineese watch is as accurate.
I wear only COUNTERFEIT ROLEXES($100@ brand new), indistinquishable from new. Chineese of course and just as accurate.
Currently,Rolex GMT Master II with red/black bezel....would really like to own the 50th Anniversary edition Submariner....the one with the green bezel.
Basic Swiss Army but I really wonder is how many of you had to look at your arm to remember, ha!
Cool thread, I always thought that watches would appeal to audiophiles, just like high end cameras and other pricey toys. As for me, Tag Heuer SeaMaster, so I'm ready for the yacht race but can't afford the yacht.
Omega Seamaster Professional
It's the only piece of jewelry I own. Some lovely young thing got me down and twisted my arm and MADE me buy it.
depends on the occaision... but my favorite is my frank muller conquistadore 18k gold... bought in vegas 2 years ago , during the ces....
every day wear? a hublot chronograph ,or a rolex submariner platinum with diamonds.....a pretty rare find...
A choice of:
1870s 14K Roskopf demi-hunter minute repeater pocket watch
1950s ss Omega with Roman numerals
1950s Fortis Performance auto
1940s Enicar Minor military watch
1950s Hoverta auto
1940s Alprosa
i have a choice of four. tudor tiger chrono, omega seamaster chrono, chronoswiss lunar chrono, rolex daytona chrono. i am a sucker for multiple dial watches. paired down my collection by selling an omega schumacher chrono and a breitling about a year ago. the only watch i would consider selling is the omega, the rest are keepers.
Mehran, Very nice! I like the rubber strap, that will be my next strap, if I can find one I like. Brian
Brianmgrarcom, here is a link to info on Blue Wave...I love it.
http://www.tp178.com/mh/un_wavemax/wavemax.html

Of course who knows what i will do in three weeks!

If anyone has a vintage IWC Big Pilot (or the Lange version), I would love to know.
Mehran
Sorasound, I am not familiar with the Blue Wave, but there are a couple Nardin watches I'd really like!!!

Foie, you have another sweet watch I'd like, the Daytona!
TAG Automatic 2000 Stainless Vintage 1988 for work. Rolex Gold Daytona for play.
Just got an Ulyss Nardin Blue Wave Limited Edition. Love this watch although I am a bit more used to bigger watches. This hobby is bad and ain't easy to break....m.
p.s. got rid of the corum after 3 weeks...too much of a toy.
For every day wear I have a Tag Heuer 2000 Link its simple, built like a tank, and keeps good time. For dressier occasions I have a Tag Heuer Monaco, its a nice watch but not really sturdy enough for full time wear. The next watch on my radar is an Omega of some sort not sure which one.
Swiss Army "Field" watch, given to me as a gift which is my everyday watch. I have others (Early 1960s Automatic Rolex, 1970s Automatic Longines, another recent quartz battery Swiss Army....) which I only wear occasionally.
Yes, time does matter particularly when I have only less than 30 minutes left to a listening session before I do all the other household chaos:-((.
I don't usually wear a watch, there are clocks everywhere. Once in a while i'll wear my grandfathers watch from the 50's?, an Omega, i don't know the model but it is comfortable, it has a rectangular shape. I wear it as jewelry i guess, it makes me feel good for some reason, maybe the family connection. Ok, now for a joke, My wife asked me for a watch for christmas, and i asked, what for ,there's a clock on the stove!! Only kidding, IT'S JUST A JOKE!! I'm not even married, as you can tell by the JOKE, Yes it's just a joke! Kinda funny though, i think. Any lady music lovers/audio geeks want to reply? Especially single ladies, although i'd like to hear from anyone, i deserve the abuse, c'mon.
plain old 2 tone datejust.
It's kinda the tank of everyday watches.
but i'd really like vintage IWC or Patek...
I've had my "Breitling 1884" for the last 10 years. It cost me a ton of money back then...My other expensive hobby used to be collecting Swiss-made automatic watches. This Breitling is the last one from those addictive years.
Robert Lighton Growler See it at www.robertlighton.com
A huge submarine watch.
Panerai (titanium black dial, steel white dail), IWC Portugeiser chrono, Lange 1 (blue dial white gold), franc muller conquistadore, JLC sun moon white gold, dad's old rolex, graduate advisor's old omega, corum bubble square. I have been waiting for my IWC 5001 7 day power reserve for a few months now. I seem to still look at my mobile phone for time though! I think watch hobby is even more addicting than analogue....mehran
Wenger Air, Movado, Picard & Cie Titan-S, Skagen. I like them all but for thin and comfortable you can't beat the Skagen and it's the least expensive of the bunch at about $65.00.
Omega Speedmaster Date. I wanted an automatic for a long time, I am very happy with the purchase.
i havent worn a watch since i was a kid, just dont like having something atached to my wrist, probably buy a pocket watch one day,
Casio Forrester (every day), LP (Lucien Picard) Chronograph when playing dress-up. Sometimes wear a Fossil Blue for everday.
Since last posting to this thread I have started using an Eternamatic Kontiki (autowind) chronometer. First watch (other than my Sinn) that never needs a time adjustment - all I ever have to do is advance the date on non 31 day months. Built like a tank! Cost less than $1000. Rolex users, eat your heart out! :-)
After drooling over the Stainless Breitling Navitimer Fighter for two years, I'm very happy with the Seiko Flight Chronograph I bought for myself this past Christmas. Plus, I feel much better about spending only $235 instead of $2500-$5300.
All I can say is... If it beeps, leave it at home when you go to the symphony, please! And if you're too deaf to hear your own watch beeping 18 inches away from your ears, stay home, unless your plan from the outset was to ruin my evening.

I've been a Doxa fan for a long time. Sub300T, both the US Divers and Clive Cussler editions.
Only at work. A Seko, Bulova, or Waltham. But there I go spouting brand names, as if that meant something. I wear whatever catches my eye and tastes for about $100/watch. I can't seem to justify more than that since the watches seem slowly take a beating, even though I perform light work in dress clothes.

On my off hours. I use my cell phone or my BlackBerry to tell time. Like farmer, I think pocket watches would last longer for me. But wrist watches just look to nice with dress clothes. So I think that partially answers Onhwy61's question. I find I reach for my blackberry most of the time when I want to know what time it is. I think it's the most accurate time piece I own. Lately it's also a better 'status symbol', if that matters. But the watches sure do look nice. :-)
Never wears a watch.

Watches and time is all over the place. Do I really need one on me? After 30 years of not wearing one, can´t say I miss it.

Rolex GMT Master 2, Red/Black Bezel with Jubilee Bracelet.I love Rolex watches, timeless design, never goes out of fashion and keeps its value well.I bought it new.My other favourites are: Submariner 50th Anniversary Green Bezel,Submariner, two tone, blue face with the Oyster bracelet and the ss Daytona.

For several years a 70 or 100 dollar watch made me happy and satisfied until breaking them accidently became expensive and annoying. Switched to pocket watches over the next few years then just gave up because (IMO) jewelery is for girls. Been happy ever since just keeping an eye on the clocks at work. Movado would be my favorite watch for simple looks if I should try again.

Good Day.......Pat
