Thanks Reynolds853. so I changed everything in my system except for the cdp, I sold my Parasound a21 and p5 and bought a Musical Design t100 amp and the sp1 pre amp Mosaic cables and a Shunyata ps8 and Shunyata power cords, and the Gamma Summits. these speakers are unreal with their seamless sound, you cannot hear individual drivers the sound seems to float and sounds live and alive. three dimensional I guess? I was told with the carbon fiber nano tube arrays which are almost super conductive at room temp and no phase shift is the reason for the breathtaking sound. I've been on the audio treadmill for a long time now and I have finally found my sonic nirvana. in other words I have found my end of the game system.
Jughead,

That sounds like a really nice system. I think Musical Design makes very nice equipment too, and I am also familiar with the Mosaic speaker cables, interconnects, and preamps/amps. I have no doubt you have a system that you will enjoy for years to come. Just curious, did you get your system from Audio Bunker (Automated Lifestyles) in Bettendorf, IA?

John
Hey John, yes all of my equipment is from Automated Lifestyles. I've known Duane for at least 20+years. are you from the Quad City area?
John,
Congratulation on the Gammas. I have owned the Gammas for about 5 years and it took me a few years to realize that you won't find a better sounding speaker. Every component upgrade has yielded better sound. I now use a 13 watt tube mono block amp and the gammas have bever sounded better. I now spin only vinyl and the gammas are incredible.
Thanks Bob, I notice the same thing with the Gammas any little change yields different sound. the Gammas are a part of my system I will never part with, and mated with the Musical Design amp and pre its sonic nirvana for me.
If you like the VA sound move up the line. If you want more resolution look at the ATC SCM 40(new/used) or you might be able to stretch your budget for a used/demo ML Montis both speakers would be hard to beat at the $5k level when set up properly.
Intuitive Designs Mosaics and Denali, the bigger brothers of the Gammas are awesome speakers as well. I heard these speakers mated with Eccence jasper amps and the sound is jaw dropping. but way out of my price range.
